“I won't stay here again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

I was not impressed with this hotel at all. We were located right next to the back entrance, the soda machines, the ice machine and the housekeeping's storage area. The housekeeping ladies continually slammed every door, including the hotel room doors, every time that they went to their cart and when they went back in again and when they went in and out of the housekeeping area. The doors continually slammed all night and then all day. I used to clean rooms and I would never be so inconsiderate. We would prop the doors open with rags to keep them open. At least that way the doors aren't slamming constantly when paying guests are trying to sleep. We didn't get an hours worth of sleep and were exhausted by the time we returned home. There also was no TV remote. I called down to the office and they said they'd send one up but nobody ever showed up. There was only one glass and one person's worth of coffee, yet it was a queen sized bed. By the way, there might be two people staying in that bed. The curtains were a mess with what looked like moth eaten holes. I could see the sun right through the holes and there was a belt left in the dresser drawers from a previous guest. I could say more, but let's just say, it was less than I was expecting from a Ramada Inn.

Where to start? Parking area inadequate, dark, unsafe. Arrived at 5pm and room not ready until 6pm, get to room and NO towels in sight and bathroom is still dirty. Told front desk and they did nothing after 2 hours while we went to eat. Get back and they finally brought towels after we called front desk again. Elevator broken. Halls and common areas haven't been vacuumed since???? Hallways stank of cigarette smoke. Breakfast until 10:30 but empty and not refilled after 9:30-no plates or utensils, no waffle batter, no juice, no bagels, no milk, etc. Front desk told my daughter it would cost her an extra $10 to use the pool, glad she didn't use it now that I see these other reviews about pool area being dirty too. Prime location but it needs to be torn down and started over. Ruined spring break and came home early.

Eeeewwwww!!! Old, run down, dirty, smelly (old cigarettes, shrimp being cooked in rooms) people are living here too --- I'll give the poor staff an A+ for effort but for everyone's sake - close it, tear it down, and rebuild in this prime location!!!
Broken elevator (still on March 26 - see review March 20...) broken hot tub bubbler, not that you'd get in the hot bacteria pool that it was. Ridiculously tiny, freezing swimming pool, greasy old carpet, broken towel bar in bathroom, broken fridge in our room, chaotic disorganized breakfast area totally understaffed ( though great effort and service on the staff's part) NO Parking for hotel guests except at the very back in a muddy, dirty, dark lot next to smelly dumpsters and broken down freight trucks (safety??!!) Stay anywhere but here.
