From check-in to check-out ALL the staff was very friendly, welcoming, helpful and attentive! They remembered my name and always asked if there was anything I needed in just passing. We will be visiting again very soon!

We went to Glenwood Springs for a family getaway. This included the husband and I, our daughter, son, their spouses and six grandchildren under the age of six. (YIKES!!!) we arrived over the noon hour, had lunch in town, then went to register, if possible. Check-in is posted as 4pm. They had 2 of our 3 rooms ready, so we were able to unload our stuff. Also we were given swim passes, so changed and headed off to the pool! The lodge was clean, we were probably in their lowest priced rooms, but they were well furnish, clean, and had great beds and the soaps and shampoo products were from their spa. Included in the room rate was a full cook to order breakfast at the pool grill and daily swim passes. This was a great place to stay for the convenience of being by the pool, especially for our family, of whom needed naps, or a bit of flexibility to come and go. The lodge is also a nice walk to the downtown, just over the bridge. We had a great time!! Nice to have the coffee in the lobby and covered parking too.

Room Tip: We overlooked the parking lot, there are mountain view rooms and ones that over look the pool

Green Features: Heated geothermally. They used recycled products, and probably have a recycling program

We LOVED the hot springs here! We arrived right at 7:30 when it opened, which was incredible. It was just us, a nice guy who had been backpacking around, a few locals and like six cool older folks. We stayed until it filled up with people and kids, around 10:30/11 am. We split after that.

The hot pool is hottest towards the back, away from the cooler/long pool, and feel wonderful. There were a few water seats where you could pay a couple quarters for direct and personal hot water jets. There are also vents along the center bottom and those make for great places to put your feet!

We switched between pools in the morning, and thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and vacancy of having arrived so early!

When all the crowds spill in, we started thinking of heading out, as it was no longer so relaxing. The music changed to top 100s pop, instead of the nice morning classical, and there were a thousand kids and their toys. It wouldn't have been so bad, but at that point, no one is watching their kids, where they (or their toys!!) are going or thrown, or their noise level.
Also, don't bother buying food here as it is tremendously overpriced. The cafe menu has no prices beside the "specialty" items, like hash browns??, so we ended up paying twenty dollars for a small plate of room temperature scrambled eggs, two pancakes (which are separate items, not sides, and customers are not informed of this), and a cold side of hash browns. Their smoothies are also atrocious.

So, go early and go for the springs, but bring your own snacks and leave when it gets crowded!

Lodge is easy access to the hot springs which is the reason I assume most people would stay here anyway... Rooms very nice but a little small. Beds very comfortable and staff is friendly. Parking is a little tight but the best part... Walk across the street and soak in the hotsprings!!! Pricey hotel but great location... Be sure to walk next door to hotel colorado and look around... Gorgeous (didn't stay there because we were worried about no air condition) but worth looking at!

The pool is amazing although hotel guests vie for spaces on the deck with local pass holders who stake out locations with towels, robes, and coolers when the pool opens at 7:30. Hotel is top notch. You will not be disappointed. Grill breakfast is great but a little inconvenient being across the street from the hotel. Our visit was in July. I cannot imagine trying to get across the street and down the flights of stairs in the winter to get breakfast. One other note: many of the employees were new: translation -- high turnover since this was middle of summer and the summer help should have still been employed. High turnover always hurts a service industry oriented company. I will stay there again because the experience is worth it but it is pricey if you are looking for true convenience and pampering.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony or patio are beautiful.

i came in on friday july 18 2014,and i have to say that i was not very impressed with the service anywhere on property.however what really blew out of the water was a young man named esgar he greeted as at the grill entrance with a smile.he than continued to explain the breakfast as he took us to our table come to our surprise he hurried over to the cash register to also take our order when no one was on the counter.he than got me and my husband set up with a great omelet cooked by a skinny blonde lady.later that after noon we came to the snack bar to grab a couple of burger and hot dogs and some great ice cream, and again met up with esgar. as he cooked our food he made conersation with not only me but everybody in line asking us if we were enjoying ourselves.he than handed us our food and asking if we needed anything else wish us a great day and send us on our way happy and surprised of how he turned our experience around.

This place is pretty nice. I don't know if it's worth what you pay for a night, but it is a very comfortable hotel with easy access in and out and of course the hot springs pool. The pool access and breakfast are included in the price but you definitely pay for the convenience. The rooms are nice, with microwaves and fridges to throw leftovers in or whatever, the beds are comfy, the front desk staff is very accommodating. We arrived early and our room was not yet ready, they gave us access to the parking lot and pool passes so we could lounge in the pool area until the room was ready, which when you are travelling with kids, it's nice not to have to try and find something to do for an hour or two before check in. All in all I would maybe stay here again; the only thing that would stop me would be the price, for our family of four staying there for more than a night or two just isn't that feasible when we can stay somewhere else for four nights for the price of two nights here.

Green Features: I love that they use the hot springs geothermal energy for everything. Very cool.
