“Love the hot springs experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

We stayed at the lodge for 2 days and made multiple trips to the pool, which was nice. We also indulged in several spa treatments at Spa of the Rockies. We love the pool, we love the spa, and we love Glenwood Springs! We will be back

Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge was a happy surprise for my wife and I, who had been to the venerable Hot Springs Pool several times before the new lodgings were built. The room we booked was upgraded to a smartly appointed suite after we'd experienced some trouble booking online. It had a comfy bed with plush pillows, nice furnishings and high class (Zents) soaps. The free breakfast across the street at poolside featured a daily special such as a breakfast burrito lathered in green chile. The layout of the lodge is handy to the pool, with parking in back so as not to lengthen the walk to the warm mineral bath. I'll admit the walk back to our room was a bit chilly in late October. I'm glad the shower room at the pool had a handy suit dryer. Of course the historic large pool was as fine as we remembered. The unique bubble chairs in the warmer pool cost the same as 30 years ago -- two bits. We'll definitely be returning to this unique and wonderful lodge.

A very nice place to stay and just a few steps from the hot springs. Not only are passes to the pool included in the room rate, but free breakfast is included too. I'd recommend to if you're planning on using the hot springs.

We were impressed by the free access to the hot springs pool and free breakfast. I did expect more from the room size wise.... Classifying it as a suite, but a family of 6 slept comfortably... It is pricy but the pool access made up for it.

I loved the room we had - Yampah on the fifth floor with a balcony and a good view -- loved being able to cross the street for the pool (fortunately the weather was nice). Wish robes had been available, as I hadn't realized we'd have to go outside. The only week point was having a cafeteria styple breakfast in the pool house grill. It was fine, but given the price for the room, I'd expected a little more. Will definitely come again!

Room Tip: aqs for a high floor on the south side -- better chance of getting a view.

I really enjoyed my stay in the lodge in their least expensive room...I didn't feel like I was in a base rate room at all. I felt I received the quality I paid for throughout my stay. The hotnsprings are wonderful, be in them for as long as possible. If you are lodging, take a room towel so you can wrap up in something, the towels provided at the pool are very tiny indeed. The breakfast included is above average for a continental, its not just a bunch of prepackaged danishes and cereals...its hot food and fresh fruit and yogurts...healthier stuffnwhich was nice. The room made it tough to leave, the bedding was wonderful, the pillows down filled to just the right feel. The lodge was pretty quiet in late October, I didn't hear anything all night from other guests. The staff was friendly and they use your name when they talk to you. The bathrooms in your room are upscale and a good size. They don't provide hairdryers fyi. The room was very, very clean. The window was large which provided great light during the day. There isn't much by lighting in the evening...its more mood lighting, or there for atmosphere. The look of the room is higher end contemporary, high headboards and nice shutter treatment over what I imagined was the heater or ac unit. It was a very attractive room. The last thing that I must say is how toddler friendly itnwas from the level of cleanliness to the absence or sharp edges and low furniture. I plan on returning and upgrading my room to the other side of the hotel with king beds. This is one of those hotels you return to and establish a rapport with the staff. I will come back every time I'm in Colorado visiting family.

Room Tip: The north facing rooms on the 3rd floor view the parking lot and a hillside, you can see the euro st...

Green Features: They have a conservation leaflet in the bathroom urging you to use resources wisely which is nice. The glasses /mugs provided are the real deal so they don't have disposable cups and such.

Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge is our favorite. We have stayed other places in Glenwood over the years but the Lodge is by far the most comfortable and enjoyable spot in Glenwood. It feels like coming home each time we visit. Breakfast is always yummy, the rooms are always spotless, and the pool is the best.
