We enjoyed our stay here. Our grandson was traveling with us and enjoyed the pool area with slide. Very clean and management was friendly. Our only critical remark was the A/C unit was loud. It is close to attractions. We would stay here again. LM

I researched this hotel fully online before calling them myself. The lady told me that I would get a better rate if I walked in instead of making a reservation. So I did, And it really worked. I was going to pay $145 online or $130 by reserving a room. Instead I only paid $80. The room was VERY CLEAN and a spacious bathroom, and a very nice king sized bed. All of the furniture in the room seemed to be brand new. And felt like I was first to use it. The only downside was that I got a room on the same side as I-70 (the highway) And train tracks. VERY NOISY highway and the dual payne windows only block about 1/2 of the noise. The hotel is in the same parking lot as the Glenwood caverns cave and adventure park Tram cars. And real close to the Hot Springs Pool. I will visit this hotel again But, because of the noise from trains and the highway I will be asking for a room on the north side.

“comfy, kinda loud”

First the check in time is 4pm not 2pm or 3pm. The clerk was very clear and somewhat rude about that. They also called our room in the middle of the afternoon because they claimed that they had no credit card. I gave a credit card online and when I checked in. They threatened to turn off our key if we did not come down and give it again. We were then late to reservations for lunch.
The rooms are clean, spacious, and the beds and pillows are fabulous.
Our room was on the bottom floor near the pool and was loud in the morning. You can hear all of the doors slamming. The breakfast spead is VERY good. They do cut it off right at 10 am though so don't be late.
The pool is great fun...the hot tub was luke warm and no jets. But it is great fun for the kids.
It is also great to be so close to the Glenwood tram.

“Very nice, clean and new”

AmericInn of Glenwood Springs

We stayed at this motel this past weekend and it was very nice. Our room was on the small side but very clean. The beds had very nice sheets on them, with a sheet under and over the blanket which I like (since I know hotels do not change out the blankets that often, its nice to have them encased in sheets!). Bathroom was literally spotless and the towels and toiletries were very nice. The waterpark pool was great, especially for smaller kids. It had a very good slide, surprisingly large given the overall size of the pool. There were also spay jets, a basketball hoop a small slide and a hottub. The pool was a bit on the cold side but not so much my daughter couldn't swim in it. They had plenty of towles available and the pool area was very clean. The staff was very nice that I met personally but the ones I talked to on the phone were not helpful. They seemed to be a bit understaffed at the front desk so that may have explained their lack of helpfulness when I called before my trip to ask a few questions. The free breakfast was adequate, they had make your own waffles, bagles, juices, oatmeal, a couple kinds of cereal, danish and donut holes. Also coffee and tea. The hotel is advertised and touted as having soundproof rooms, however our room was located right across from the ice machine and I did hear that quite often through the night. I never heard anyone next door, just the ice machine out in the hall! The lobby area is very lovely and inviting.

I would gladly stay here again. We had just a short one night stay and did the hot springs pool during the day which was wonderful. We will definitely be back to Glenwood Springs, it was a wonderful, quick, relaxing getaway.

“Disappointing!”

AmericInn of Glenwood Springs

Showed up (for the 2nd time) at 5 pm to check into a suite (check-in is 4pm). The room was not ready, we were told 15 more minutes, actually took over an hour. The pool was freezing cold in the evening (too cold for even our swim team kid), OK in the day. Could hear I-70 really loudly in the suite (ground level suite), made sleeping difficult .

The location is walking distance to the Adventure Park Tram.
