I had hoped that the hotel would be a bit more off the road with bit of character to it, in reality it is a functional stop over on the outskirts of town, a short driving distance from Glenwood. We spent 2 nights here, the Glenwood area offered a lot more than we had expected at first glance and the hotel was a very good base for the area.
The room that we were first allocated had too much road noise for me and had a dark aspect. I asked if i could change and Duayne offered an alternative which was fine. The hotel was full and very busy so I was grateful to him for doing this.
We also had problems with contacting the helpline for our bank, again Duayne was helpful as the phone in our room didn't work. It was a good stay but if we come back again I will look for a quieter place further out of town.
On a broader note I just want to comment that in this hotel as in other US chain hotels that we stayed, it is not a good experience to eat off plastic plates with plastic cutlery. The environmental impact is worrying we have too much landfill already. it also takes away a few hours paid work washing and clearing. What does one really save by eating off throw away plates etc?
