We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites while on a excursion during our recent Colorado vacation. We normally stay in Summit County, but decided since the snow pack was still not melting and this prevented our normal hiking - we would just venture out to a lower altitude. Glenwood Springs is at about 5800 feet, we were at 11,500 - so there was a sigificant difference in temp and climate.
I used Hilton Honors points for this stay, but you would not have known that we were non-revenue guests. We were given a King suite with a sleeper sofa for our son. The room had been recently remodeled, had a fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, wonderful bath with granite and was around 550 square feet. Plenty of room for a 3 day, 2 night get away. The breakfast was good and the staff was always helpful.
They told us several places to eat and they were correct in their choices - the food was great. We visited the Hot Springs and also spend an entire day at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. It was a mini-vacation within a vacation and we are already planning to return to this Hampton Inn to make a day trip to Aspen and explore more of the Glenwood Springs area.
Nice Hotel with Suites, call to make sure they know what you want
