We live in Denver and try to visit Glenwood Springs once a year. For the last several years Glenwood Canyon Brewing Company in the Hotel Denver has been our favorite restaurant. All the dinner entrees we have ordered here have been great and their desserts are usually very good as well, especially the cheesecake. It is a pub, so don't expect fancy atmosphere or five star service. I think the food more than makes up for those.

They sure know how to brew their beer here. And the wait staff was friendly and attentive. However, the food was standard pub fare, with overcooked, small, dry buffalo burgers accompanied by a massive stack of frys. We only ate lunch here, perhaps the dinner menu is an improvement.

The beer here is among the best I've ever had at a brewpub. Very well made and quite a variety, too. They even had mead and barlyewine. The food was the typical brewpub variety of salads, sandwiches, and several entrees, but it was quite good. Service was also excellent, even though most of the wait staff didn't look old enough to drink the chief product. An added bonus is that they sell their beers to go in large jugs (growlers) at a bargain price. Great to take back to the hotel after a day of skiing or soaking at the hot springs pool.
