“We were told to avoid by locals didn't listen”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2010

There were a couple of locals that warned us not to even give it a second thought but we couldn't resist and we greatly regretted it. It is more of an old bar scene than a great resturant. They had no fried crawfish tails that one review spoke of and the Blackened Maui Maui was over seasoned to the point of ruined. I got a crab au gratin pasta that I could have done way better at home. Should have listened!!!

“Fun, inexpensive dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2010

We went to dinner at the Bayou, a casual place that specializes in Cajun food. The night we were there they had a special of 1/2 off all appetizers, steamed crab and shrimp, we decided to stick to those items. We each had a cup of gumbo, and then split a jambalaya and a half pound each of steamed crab legs and shrimp. The food was very good and the bill was tiny. With plenty to eat and 3 beers between us, we paid about $30, including a good tip. The servers were very busy and we did have a bit of a wait for the steamed items, but not bad. We will go back again and try some of their other items.

“Beautiful but Limited Kitchen Hours”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2010

I was extremely disappointed when we went there to have lunch and noticed that their Kitchen does not open until 6pm. So we went for dinner and found out that the kitchen closes at 8pm....so literally the kitchen is only open for two or three hours. We really wanted their Cajun food but were stuck with burgers as it was all they were willing to make.

“Loved the food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2010

The food here is cajun with a touch of mexican. We had the red beans & rice and the fish tacos. Both were excellent!!! The owner was very nice. Came to the table to answer a question about a sauce. Even gave me a small dish of the sauce to go. Thank you!! I wish this restaurant was closer to home. The restaurant is more of a bar setting though.
