“A good, quiet comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

I'll get the minor negatives out of the way first:
- If you don't have a car, it's a little bit of a hike to the town centre of Glenwood Springs... but having said that, there's a big Safeway across the road for groceries, and a regular bus service (every half hour) right out the front.
- There is free wi-fi but it is mind-numbingly slow.
- Like many motels, you need an IT degree to figure out the tv remote control

...as I said, they're minor negatives

Ok onto the good things:
- Service was friendly and very easy to deal with.
- There's an indoor pool and an outdoor pool in summer.
- Room was very clean, a decent size and the bathroom was good.
- Beds were clean and comfortable and the aircon was efficient.
- There are no coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a microwave and a fridge.
- The free breakfast was really good - porridge/oatmeal, fruit, cereal, juice, all sorts of pastries and breads, boiled eggs and decent coffee. Plenty to satisfy.
- Generally very quiet and comfortable.

I'd certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Most rooms are set way back from the road. Try for a ground floor room towards the back. VERY quiet.

“Met Expectations.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We stayed at the Cedar Lodge on a quick weekender to Glenwood Springs. The hotel was cozy and clean but a bit dated. The room was large and had a fridge which was nice but the building was pretty noisy and the bathroom was tight. We didn't spend much time at the room so it sufficed.

“Had everything we needed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

We changed our 3 night booking in Glenwood Springs to Cedar Lodge after reading poor reviews of the motel we had originally chosen.
Good choice!
It is not the prettiest motel we have stayed in, but it was agreat place to stay. The room was very spacious, with two large beds, fridge, microwave, big tv. The motel has outdoor grills for guest use, indoor pool and fitness room, outdoor pool (closed when we were there but I guess it was out of seasion by then), laundry, nice breakfast with plenty to eat, guest computer in reception. There are plenty of shops and eating places very close by, though we walked the 20 blocks into town each evening for dinner. The walk in was fine for us though I guess some people would find it a bit too far.
The motel seems to cater mostly for people working away from home but that made no difference to us. The rooms were great and it was VERY reasonable. I would definitely book here again on a return visit to Glenwood Springs.

“Clean, great location, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

Although the rooms could use updating, they are clean. The mountains outside are beautiful and there are great trails near by. Plenty of restaurants and shopping close. Indoor and outdoor pool. The breakfast was very good. I would definitely book here again.

“A great place to stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

The Cedar Lodge Motel is a real gem. It may look like a typical motel, but really has the feel of a resort. The room was clean and well appointed with microwave and refrigerator. They have indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, sauna, and two areas set up with gas grills for guest use. The free breakfast included cereal, breads, fruit, juice, and coffee. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.
