“definitely a good dive.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

This place is what you call a good dive bar. The food was great and service was friendly. This is the kind of place where you end up rubbing elbows with the locals. Good food for a good price. My wife and I come to glenwood every couple of years and this is a repeat.

“Good food but shouldn't call itself a "restaurant"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

This place is a treat to see but it's more of saloon than a restaurant. The bar itself comes from a saloon in Leadville that Doc Holliday patronized and the place is full of old photographs and antiques. I had the Doc Holliday burger which was delicious. Unfortunately, the ambience of being someplace attached to Doc Holliday or a "restaurant" is completely lost because you are basically in the locals bar. Flat screen T.V.s with the volume up high, smokers hanging around the front door, locals who've had a bit too much to drink (and therefore loud and using profane language), pool tables, and neon bar lights totally destroyed the ambiance unless you walk in expecting a saloon instead of a restaurant with an old west theme. Parking near the saloon is a premium but readily available within a 5 to 10 minute walk.

“Would have gone in for a beer, but......”

Before we even walked up to the door we could smell the cigarette smoke coming out.....I have asthma but I would have gone in for my husband's sake (he loves westerns) but even he didn't want to go inside..........

“Decent Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

I really like the décor inside, a bunch of old relics and pictures. The service was average, could have been better and don't ask about the area because they are clueless. The waitress was nice enough but didn't come around enough. We had onion rings which were very good. my friend had nachos but didn't really like them. I had the prime rib sandwhich which was very good and the fries were ok. they seemed a little high priced and maybe because it is a tourist trap restaurant. I really liked the ambience but the bathrooms smelled like an outhouse. absolutely awful, make you want to loose your lunch. they must have something wrong with the sewer system because you can smell the bathroom before you reach it. if I would have gone to the bathroom before eating I would have never ate there.
