“Great choice for Glenwood Springs stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Glenwood springs is a great destination and the Courtyard is a great place to stay. Hotel was clean and bright with ample parking and friendly service. The 2 queen room had ample room to move about. The room included standard amenities for the Courtyard brand and everything was well coordinated. Room included a 32 inch flat screen and a mini fridge. Noise levels were average for a hotel. The hotel is located in a new area of town and a shopping center is nearby (Target, Lowes, restaurants), however the main attractions of the town are about 2 miles away so a car is recommended to get to the river, parks, or downtown restaurants. My only complaint is the lack of a complimentary breakfast but I knew that going in! Recommended as a reliable and budget friendly place to stay in Glenwood Springs.

We had a rough night before at a crappy hotel. This was a breath of fresh air. The staff was great, very clean, nice beds and a great outdoor patio. The only thing that could have been improved was the size of the pool. However, that was a very minor issue. We will stay there again!

After having an AWFUL experience at another hotel, I had to write a review on Trip Advisor to let people know about a hidden gem in Glenwood Springs, CO.
We had the BEST stay at this hotel. From the front line staff to the Housekeeping - everyone was wonderful. They made sure to make us feel special and at home. And boy did we!!
We also had the pleasure to meet the General Manager, Laura Brooks. She was helping her staff clean up after an event in the bar... that's a true team player.
The hotel was spotless and the rooms were great. I especially recommend getting a suite - what a world of difference!
When we woke up, we had Starbucks downstairs (a treat!) and both had the "healthy start" breakfast sandwich. I never would have thought that a hotel would have heaven between two english muffins... egg whites, havarti cheese (YUM) and turkey ham (I don't eat ham, bacon or sausage, so this was perfect!).
So, I guess I can't say one bad thing about this place... You guys rock at Courtyard by Marriott in Glenwood Springs!

Room Tip: We had two kids with us, so the suite was perfect. It was a treat for us during our vacation. We h...

The hotel was more than expected. We found our room to be very clean as were the other areas of the hotel. The workout facility was adequate with a great view. We lounged on the deck in the evening with a coffee from the bistro and had an overall great stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights, King with pull-out, family of 3 traveling. We just loved this location, a quieter spot on the South side, less traffic/chaos than the North side of town, which suited us fine. We also stayed for 3 nights at Glenwood Springs Hotel on the North side, so we have a good means of comparison.
The pluses: brand new, nice vibe, great lobby area with concessions and a bar for happy hour. We loved the outside deck especially... there is such a dearth of outside seating for any hotels in Glenwood, this was a real plus for us. Easy walking to a number of restaurants in the plaza nearby, easy access to the downtown area, which we frequented for dinner. The hotel was quiet, although I know we saw families in the lobby area. The pool and hot tub were both nice, and again, with an outside deck, just great. The over-sized electronic screen in the lobby was great for finding restaurants and orienting us to the area. We enjoyed coffee in the lobby and chilled water with fruit. Our room faced a great mountain view, which we really enjoyed.
A few nitty minuses: Online directions (from the hotel website) to find the hotel for first-timers was just flat out wrong, we got turned around but since we had a map, we eventually got there. Breakfast service in the morning was super disappointing. We don't mind paying for breakfast, didn't expect an all inclusive breakfast, but we waited nearly 25 minutes for a waffle and a breakfast BLT that combined cost $20, with only one other family/guest in the area. The other guest waited as long as us for a simple oatmeal. The breakfast area was being run by 1-2 teenage guys and definitely could be a money-maker and solid choice if they iron it out. based on our other mornings, what I described was not an anomaly, suggest eating outside the hotel.

This is a solid choice outside the heavy tourist area, a recommend for sure.

This is a beautiful new modern-style hotel. Our room was just fine, with a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. The problem was that I requested a crib when I reserved the room, but when we arrived there were no cribs left. When I made the reservation the person did warn me that they were first come first served, to her credit. But it's not always possible to travel with a pack and play, and every other time I have requested one in a hotel (many, many times) I have gotten one. The hotel simply needs to buy a stash of pack and plays (duh!). I got almost no sleep because my baby was in bed with me tossing, turning, and whacking me (and I was worried about him falling out). The people at the hotel were perfectly nice, this was just a big problem for me in practical terms. FYI there is also no free breakfast, which is something we look for in hotels since we travel with small children who wake up ravenous.

Dear mbhNorfolk,

Thanks for your review on TripAdvisor. Im glad you enjoyed your stay. I appreciate your candor regarding our shortage of cribs. The summertime creates quite the demand for them and we try our best to accommodate everyone. I hope you will come back and stay with us again on your next trip to Glenwood Springs. Thanks again for the feedback!
