“Use to be Great!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

After having left the Glenwood area, one of my fondest memories was the Sprngs Restaurant. Went back to have some of their fantastic onion rings and french onion soup. Not anymore!!
Now it's packaged bar food and so so cocktails. Sad that the old GREAT menu didn't stay.

“Worth the stop!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

My boyfriend used to come to Glenwood Springs as a boy with his parents and eat at The Springs while they waited for the train back to Denver. Now, more than 35 years later, he said it was just as good and memorable as it had been back then. I tried the French Dip and he had the day's special - a prime rib sandwich with steak fries. It was delicious! The atmosphere was perfect for a grill and bar; full of history and stories. The waitress was terrific and loved it that my boyfriend came as a kid. Will definately be back!

“Just Great!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2011

We started our day off at the pool. After 2-3 hours, we were starved and wanted to catch some Sunday football. Being the notorious "Griswolds" we are, we walked a few blocks looking for a restaurant with some TVs. Finally, I stopped into the REI type store on the corner and asked a local for a good sports bar. He suggested Brewpub at the Hotel Denver. We were on our way when lo and behold, two doors down we saw The Springs!

We walked in and were immediately greeted by the friendly woman behind the bar. There were several TVs and she asked us if we were looking for a particular game. After looking over the menu, I decided on a shaved turkey breast sandwich with swiss and avocado on grilled parmesan bread and giant steak fries. OMG, was it delish! Not your standard issue bar food. Bar food with a gourmet twist is more like it! Ooh and she made a MEAN Bloody Mary on top of it all.

The regular locals that were sprinkled around the bar made the atmosphere that much better!

“Stop in for a drink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2010

We stopped in for a sandwich and a beverage and thought it was great. Food was fast and hot. Had exactly what we were looking for. Pool tables in back with a normal bar scene. drinks were good and the clientel was various. fraiendly bar tender and would stop by again for another sandwich.

“Good value steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2008

We stayed in the hotel Denver for one night and fancied an inexpensive steak dinner. Considered the micro brewery next door and Juicy Lucy but they seemed expensive - particularly the latter. Went around the corner and found Springs. We are in our mid fifties and so raised the average age of the clientele considerably - a young noisy bar with attractive bar maids/waitresses serving food. We were made welcome and enjoyed what we had wanted - a tasty steak for not a lot of money. Worth considering as an alternative to the two above.
