We were told by several people to go see the Caverns in Glenwood Springs. We took the tram to the top of the mountain and were quite surprised to find this to be an amusement park type place. Luckily, it was towards the end of the day and not crowded--had it been, I think we would have left and considered our $40+ a loss. But, grudgingly, we stayed until our tour time and actually ended up enjoying the caverns. They aren't too big, but they are quite unique and beautiful. This is a great area for families and amusment park buffs--it is not natural, wild Colorado scenery.
