“Kneading Detox”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Opted for the facial and back massage combo. The cost is $100 for 50 minutes total. By adding a service you get the cave cost thrown in for "free." The caves cost $12 and includes a towel and hospital type robe. The facial, with Aveda products, was rushed and is on the top floor. If climbing three flights doesn't sound like a great experience, skip the facial. The massage rooms are located on the main floor. Ashley worked deep into the muscle tissue, much needed to pull out the kinks of computer work. You can enjoy the vapor caves before and after your service. The first area is the least hot and as you travel deeper into the cave, the heat intensifies. Not for the claustrophobic! There are buckets provided to add cold water for your feet as well as a hose and attached shower. It's technically a quiet zone but we managed to strike up a conversation with a couple on where to eat in our next stop in Dillon. The changing room is very small. If you're heading over to the hot springs pool, just keep your swimsuit on and walk over.

“Vapor caves are one of a kind”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

We found ourselves in beautiful Glenwood Springs where Yampah was wonderful in providing high-end spa services with a small, intimate feel. We arrived around 12pm and were greeted warmly by the staff. As the day continued, there were more people arriving to experience the Vapor caves, which were dark and hot, with many alcoves to experience lounging on the rock benches gazing at the naturally colorful, textured cave walls and ceiling. We were provided with towels, flipflops, and robes and moved between the caves and the solarium for water and cool air. I took my sister to experience the spa and we both enjoyed the back, neck and shoulder massage! The mini facial was not as appealing in that both of our technicians seemed to be rushing through the process but we will definitely be back to experience the massages and caves again!

Unique European body wrap . . . You're wrapped like a mummy and do light exercise. After an hour, you're unwrapped. Not only do you lose inches, but you feel wonderful!

“Great value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

My cousin and I visited the vapor caves not quite knowing what to expect. For $12 each, we got towels and flip-flops. We were greeted at the door very warmly and given a small tour of the facilities before we changed clothes. Other reviewers here have described the locker rooms, showers and other facilities accurately. This is not a fancy spa, but a perfectly nice spa and we had no complaints. The caves are mysterious and dimly-lit, and while not segregated, we never felt exposed or any lack of privacy. Although we did not try any spa services I would go back and try one or more. Overall, I would say this is one of best ways to spend $12 anywhere.

“Great value and great services”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

My husband and I have visited the vapor caves two times together. The first time, a couple years ago, we had a private bath which was very relaxing. We also visited the vapor caves.

A few weeks ago, we got the massage + mini facial package for $130 each. It includes the vapor caves in the price. For the area, this is a great deal. Also, the massage was excellent - one of the best I've ever had. My husband's therapist, who was also excellent, was Ashley and mine was Spencer. I would highly recommend them.

Of course, at this price point you cannot expect 5 star ammenities, so the massage area is separated by curtains and a VERY RUDE older gentleman came in for his massage talking incredibly loud. My threapist promptly shushed him and he eventually quieted down. Also, the rooms for our facials didn't have walls up to the ceilings so you could hear what was going on in the other room. However, this didn't bother us too much, and I am sure we will return here again in the future.

We would definitely recommend this spa to others.
