“Gorgeous!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

So incredibly beautiful!! Only thing we would have done different is brought a picnic lunch so we didn't have to leave. The canyon is breathtaking and it's so fun getting to watch all the groups going down the river on their rafts!!

“what amazing scenery and awesome bike trail!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014

This is a must if you like to ride bikes and want to enjoy the canyon! The trail is not hard and is all cement. It winds along the river and through the awesome gigantic red cliffs! This is closed at times of high water, so check first before planning your day. There are numerous bike rental options in Glenwood if you don't want to bother with bringing your own! TAKE LOTS OF WATER!

“Great ride!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

This was our second time on the bike trail and we really enjoy it. The scenery is beautiful. The only downfall this time, was that part of the bike trail was closed this time. Looking forward to doing it again next time.

“Up Front Canyon Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

I have both walked and biked this trail - either way is fantastic. You really feel miniscule when walking amongst the towering canyon walls and alongside the roaring river. Unfortunately part of the trail is closed (due to flooding/high waters) - beginning just east of Hanging Lake - you can still walk/bike from Glenwood Springs to Hanging Lake which is absolutely georgeous especially when the trail takes you away from I-70.

“Don't miss this gorgeous and unique bike trail!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

The Glenwood Canyon bike trail goes 16 miles from Glenwood Springs to Dotsero, but you can enter the trail from several different parking spots to change the distance of your bike trip to meet your interests and fitness levels. The trail is level and travels along the Colorado River and under the roadway of I-70. You get a unique view of the amazing engineering that went into building the road through Glenwood Canyon, and often get to see rafts on the thrilling rapids on the river. Sometimes a train will rumble through. Its not a wilderness experience, but you won't even notice the road noise from I-70 because of the roaring of the river. This trail can be closed in spots due to flooding in May and early June, so check before you ride. There will usually be road signs in Glenwood Canyon announcing the location of the closure. Also, if you ride from Glenwood out to Dotsero, you will likely have a tailwind, but expect a headwind heading back west into Glenwood. The wind picks up later in the day, so the earlier you go, the less wind you will encounter.
