“The best lobster!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014 via mobile

Fantastic location, very friendly, particularly the cat. We tried the fresh lobster which was absolutely the best. The moussaka hit the spot as well!

“Excellent Recommendation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

After wandering around Mykonos Town the afternoon before, my husband and I were recommended coming to Paraga beach and trying the authentic taverna. Taking this advice, we very much enjoyed our day at Paraga beach, including our wonderful lunch at Taverna Nicolas. We ordered the seafood pasta special of the day, an appetizer, and their house wine. We loved every bit of it!

“Food was ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2014

Although this was one of the places recommended to us we didn't find anything that extraordinary. The food was fine, service was decent. The highlight for us was seeing the pelican walking through the street while we had lunch.

“Beach taverna at its best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Off the beaten track in Mykonos, certainly yields some lovely surprises - none more so than Nikolas Taverna at Agia Anna. Run by the same family since 1967, the tables are literally on the sand - although you can eat under cover in the restaurant if you prefer. We arrived to eat about 1.15pm - by 2pm, the place was heaving with mainly Greek families. The food is prepared by the mother in the family kitchen and it offers fresh seafood - we even saw freshly caught squid being prepared on the beach before being cooked and served. There are also lobsters and spider crabs in water tanks - if you prefer to choose your victim. But there was also a fantastic range of salads, barbecue meats, home-made pasta, stuffed peppers and tomatoes plus the usual mix of Greek specialities. Lunch with your feet in sand is always special and this place was no different. Get the island map out and persevere - you will love the location and the food offering.
