“Perfect Location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

I haved stayed at this hotel twice within the last 12 months. I think its location its perfect if you want to enjoy all the sky resorts around Summit County. It is close to Breckenridge, Cooper Mountain, Vail , etc. There are lots of businesses in the area to go and eat or get groceries, or to buy things you might need during your trip.
We didn't spend that much time in the hotel, since we were always leaving early in the morning and coming back at night ready for a shower and bed.
I highly recommend it if you want a nice clean location close to all the area attractions.

Last minute booking got a fair price. Very nice hotel. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Fridge and microwave in the room. The checkin staff was great. However a slow draining tub never was resolved after a trip to the front desk and the young girl looking like I was crazy for asking for it to be fixed. The staff at checkout couldn't figure out how to use the computer. Weird. Maybe because it was a holiday weekend.

Thank you for your response regarding your recent stay with us at the hotel. We appreciate your feedback very much. Our hotel does offer a lot of value for the the price point. Apart from our newly renovated rooms and excellent location between many mountain towns, we offer an indoor heated pool and hot tub as well as an on-site restaurant, making your dining trips quite simple! We hope you were able to experience the many amenities we offer at our Frisco hotel. Thank you for bringing the maintenance concern to our attention. We have discussed this with the front desk to ensure we offer a more prompt fix for these requests. Thank you again!

My wife and I were attending a small convention in Denver, we flew in a couple of days early to spend a couple of days in the Breckenridge area as we had honeymooned in Breckenridge 24 years ago. I am a Platnium Priority Club member and try to stay at Holiday Inns. Frisco is close to Breakenridge and this hotle had high marks, and a price that was great, so booked it. The reserveation called for a mountain view.
We checked in the the clerk was very nice and he recommended a brewpub in a nearby town (Dillon Dam Brewing) for dinner, which was spot on! We got to our room on the 1st floor of the regular building. We had a slight view of the mountains, but more of a view of the rear parking lot and dumpsters. I should have complained, but we were tired and hungry. The next day we went out sightseeing leaving at about 9am. When we got back to the hotel at about 8pm, our room had not been made up. It was not a huge deal, but I did need to the lobby to get more coffee cups. A real disappointment. I would have thought Platnium member would have meant something here, but I guess not. Not sure if I would stay here again or not.

We recently spent a night at the Holiday Inn in Summit County. The staff was very helpful and we had absolutely no problems checking in. Our reservations always go smoothly as we make them on the Priority Club website.

The room was on the small side so space was a bit of an issue but the bathroom was nice and large and easy to use. Because these rooms were not originally built to be ADA compliant it's difficult to reappoint them and make them completely accessible. For a place to stay for an evening it wasn't bad and the restaurant that is connected to is really nice.

I would suggest that they change the bass of the beds in their ADA compliant/wheelchair accessible rooms so that instead of having them sit on a solid base they would have traditional bed frames on wheels or a more open structure underneath it. Many wheelchair users use a type of lift called a Hoyer Lift to transfer out of our wheelchairs. In order to use it to get in and out of bed the two "legs" of the lift slide underneath the bed on it's own wheels. The bed bases that are solid don't allow the use of this device and it makes transferring very difficult. I'd be happy to provide more information if you need it.

Thanks!

The air conditioner was broken in the room, the toilet seat was broken, the ice maker on the third floor was broken and not working, and the room was dirty.I ask to have the manager call me and no call, Big surprise here! I also filed a complaint with the corporate office.
Please go down the road and stay somewhere else as this is a dive with a capital DDDDDDD.
Good luck
Thanks

Room Tip: Do not stay here!!!!

The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars was because the front desk employees were so nice. The room view was pretty but the room smelled of dog urine. The beds were barely bigger than twin size. The restaurant was awful. The service was terrible - soooooooo slow, the food portions tiny and the price was so high it was ridiculous. The pool was freezing - you could not even put your feet in. The hot tub was broken. So many families were disappointed. Convenient location and the scenery just gorgeous.

Frisco is in the magical heart of the Colorado Rockies, and we needed a clean and comfortable stopover hotel in our travels. Having been in this area before, we knew the pickings of quality hotels is limited. Most people arrange extended stays in condos or far more upscale hotels. We read the reviews closely, and they are a pretty accurate depiction of our experience.

The hotel was apparently renovated in recent years. However, the renovation was more a cover up of many years of wear. I observed several things wanting for attention, and it appeared the place could be a whole lot better with just minor TLC. It might have been better to raze the facility and start anew.

The hotel's layout is confusing.

So let's talk about some good. Our room was clean and quiet. The front desk staff was respectful and attentive. And, it is at a prime location just off I-70 but far enough away to not hear the traffic. There are many conveniences nearby.

Given the other hotel options in the area for a quick overnight stay, this one is certainly acceptable. However, do not expect a high quality product. Maybe with a little effort, it can get better.

Room Tip: Choose a lake view room if you want quiet.
