4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

This recently renovated property is a great lower cost option vs. staying on ski resort properties. Just returned from four days of skiing and loved the location. There is a grocery store within 5 minutes, also downtown Frisco very close as well. Mini fridge and microwave came in handy. There is also a sports bar/resaurant on site. Our room was close to the lobby which was nice, but if you want it totally quiet, I recommend requesting a room on another floor or further away fromt the entrance as you can hear people coming and going at times. We skied two days at Breck, one day at Keystone, and finished our skiing at Copper. Because this property is located just off I-70 and CO Hwy 9, it never took more than 15 minutes to reach all of the forementioned resorts. Hotel was clean, also the laundry room was convenient, but bring a lot of quarters! Great option when not skiing exclusively at one resort. Fair price for the accomodations and location.

Thank you for choosing the Holiday Inn Summit County for your most recent ski vacation in Summit County!! Location is definitely key and you are right, being close to 5 local ski resorts and another 4 not too far away is a huge plus for the Frisco location. We sure hope you can stay with us again on your next vacation!!

The Holiday Inn Summit County in Frisco is a good option if you have transportation and you don't want to overpay to stay at a ski-in/out lodge at the nearby resorts. This hotel is conveniently located right off I-70 with several ski resorts (e.g. Copper and Breckenridge) within a 15 minute drive. Downtown Frisco is just a mile away where there are plenty of dining options.

The hotel itself seems to have been recently renovated. We stayed on the sixth floor, possibly a priority club level(?). If possible, request this floor since the elevators are pretty fast and the floor is pretty quiet. Also stay away from the elevator since the ice machine there is pretty noisy.

Our room was quaint (ie. not large) and pretty comfortable. We got two full beds that were slightly soft, and some nice firm pillows. Again the room seemed to be fairly newly renovated so you don't have the usual stains on the carpeting or walls. The bath was nicely appointed with new standalone sink, but there was a lack of hooks or racks for hand towels.

Overall this is nice location to stay if you don't need the frills of fancier places. We did not try out the indoor pool but that seems like a good option if you have kids. There is complimentary coffee in the adjoining restaurant, just walk in and it's straight ahead to the left. Otherwise bring your own breakfast.

Room Tip: Choose 6th floor away from the elevators for a nice view and quiet night.

We come to ski and have been pleased with the attentive staff and mostly the sales manager. He has gone out of his way to make our comfortable. The food in their resturant is great/nice and fresh. Rooms are always clean as well as the hot tub. It is newly remodled and seems to be running smoothly now.

Room Tip: The rooms on the higher floors have a good view of the mountains and seem to be quieter and easy to...

Stayed here last month and was pleased with the clean rooms and good service. Also, the fitness center was surprisingly decent for a hotel of this price range. Really liked the fact that the rooms had a fridge and a microwave. Will stay here again.

Thank you for staying with us at the Holiday Inn Summit County! It is very important to us to accomodate guests with microwaves and refrigerators, as our on-site restaurant can have our guests leaving with "take home" boxes. We are glad you appreciated that extra ammenity! We will see you again soon.

Our family decided months ago that the Holiday Inn Hotels were only place we would we would stay again. We have had some BAD experiences in hotels over the last few years while looking for colleges, in several different states. NEVER at a Holiday Inn. They are always consistant.

We really needed a break from the everyday stress of life in the big city of Denver, and the holiday season!! The hotel in Summit County was perfect. As usual it was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, our room was quite and the work out room was perfect. The hospitality staff was so polite and helpful. We ate every place they recommended to us. It was amazing. It was just what we needed. Thank you!
