We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Frisco the end of Aug. My husband was working in the area and I went to spend a few days with him. There is another hotel that uses the driveway into the property and he thought he had went into the lobby of that one, as his coworkers were staying there. When they quoted him the price, he kindly said, "my coworkers are staying here for much less and why don't I get that same deal?" He honestly did not realize he was in a different hotel!! The desk clerk asked the amount and happily honored it since it was only during the week. Very nice!! He also threw in breakfast vouchers for $20.00/day. The front desk personnel were all extremely kind and helpful the whole week we were there.
I read the reviews before I arrived, as I always do. They were not real good so I did not expect much. well, let me say, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. we were in an area on the second floor where a lot of workers stay, so it was real quiet at night since everyone had to get up early for work. The breakfast was excellent, (made to order), and the $20 was enough to cover almost both of ours.
We went to happy hour every evening and the appetizers were BOGO Free and ended up being enough for a meal. Score!!! The bar tender also bent over backwards to please. I ordered a mojito and he tried his best to make it just how I liked it. There was entertainment in the evening. We only listened one night. Was alright. I enjoy all music, tho.
We took advantage of the pool and hot tub in the evenings and found both to be clean and very relaxing. It was raining quite hard and the roof did leak around the hot tub, but that did not bother us. We just didn't sit were it was dripping. Duh!!
We could not get the steam room to work. I suppose there was a trick to it, but we never asked. There is also a game room for the young ones near the pool area.
There was a lot of parking lot construction but that should be completed by now. Did not wake us in the morning since we were up any way.
