“This place needs an overhaul”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We stopped for lunch because we had been there before while traveling through Frisco.
The rug on the stairs going up to the restaurant was of indeterminate color it was so dirty. We had to leave to leave the first table we were shown as the tbale edges and chair edges were grimy and sticky. Food was on the seats of all four chairs. The chairs have a fabric tacked on the seat part. Impossible to tell the original color as the fabric was stained from food, etc.
We ordered Buffalo cheeseburger sliders medium figuring they wouldn't be too bad. Well, one of the worst meals I've ever had. The burgers were extremely well done and looked like a charcoal briquette. The "rolls" were hunks of a large sub roll cut in thirds.

Sorry to give such a bad review but that is what the restaurant deserves.

“Food is Good, Service Not So Good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

3rd time was not the charm on this visit to the Back Country Brewery. Service is S-S-L-L-O-O-W-W! 40 minutes to get two hamburgers is too slow in our book. While this was the end of the holiday week (we went in on a Sunday), the place was no more than half full. Our waiter basically desserted us after bringing us 2 glasses of water and taking our food orders. I had a "Black & Blue" burger (swiss cheese, bacon, etc.) and the other diner a Buffalo burger. The Buffalo burger was way overdone. While the meat portion is good (1/2 pound), they use a bun that's twice as thick as it should be - we felt like we were just slogging through bread all night. After he brought us the check he desserted us again and we finally went to the cashier to check out. While both times before were slow, this was the slowest and we'll check this one off our list.

“Buy the beer and eat elsewhere!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

We don't come here that often but with everywhere else busy for the July 4th weekend, we thought a cold draft and quick bite to eat would be great. However after waiting 10 minutes for a table, we then had to wait another 15 minutes to be waited upon. When we approached the manager, he turned away mumbling everything was under control. Since the restaurant wasn't even full, it must have been a case of being short of staff. On top of that, the place felt dirty and this was our server's 2nd day. That must have been the reason our order was wrong! They put in the corrected order then after another 15 min we were told the kitchen was slammed and it would take another 15 min. Oh, did I say the beer tasted good? In that case, buy the beer and eat elsewhere!

“Poor Service, Average Beer”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

This used to be one of my favorite places to stop after a long bike ride, but the last 2 times we've been there the service has been very poor, the manager surly and the beer just average. We had to go to the bar to be served as did the couple at the table next to us. We had 3 wait staff serve other tables nearby, but totally ignore our 2 tables. Guess we were in the wrong section.

“Good burger and beer place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

Stopped at this place after doing Quandary Peak. I had an awesome burger that had pineapple, fried jalapenos and chipotle mayo. It was so good that I made it for a BBQ this past weekend and it was a hit. Would definitely recommend to stop by for a brew and a burger
