Another great find in Frisco. Food Hedz, just a block south in the same Strip Mall is one of my favorite restaurants around and they were closed on this Monday, so it gave me a chance to check out another spot I've been anxious to try, Hacienda Real. It was just a quick lunch but enough to determine that this will be another regular stop in Frisco for me. First of all the salsa was excellent, and I consider myself somewhat of a salsa expert, growing & using my own ingredients at home. There were 2 different salsas brought out, one was alittle more thin and medium spice, a good salsa for the masses that don't want much spice and like a pureed style. The other was more to my liking, thicker, chunks of tomato, onion, pepper with alittle smoke flavor and more spice. Very good! I needed an extra bowl of this one! Their Margaritas are also large and first rate. I ordered the Guisado de Polo, which is strips of chicken breast stewed in a very tasty Mexican tomato sauce with green peppers & onions. It was fabulous! 2 other diners with me that day are not the biggest fans of Mexican food but still thoroughly enjoyed their entrees and of course, the margaritas! Service was friendly, prompt and helpful. I can't wait to get back and try several entrees that peaked my interest, especially the Chicken Mole. Looks like my trips to Copper Mt will include more commutes back to Frisco.
