“A truly memorable stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

10 of us Brits went looking for somewhere to stay while we skied the high country of Summit County (Christmas 2012) and we e-stumbled upon this wonderful gem of a place. Bruce and his team of Steve, Mark and Delrita are a great bunch of people so particular with their service, delightful gourmet breakfasts and local knowledge. 8 of us stayed in the Loft - a condo a couple of blocks away but perfect for our needs - a home from home! Easy access to ski areas and shopping, plenty of parking space and sensible suggestions for dining. Afternoon cheese and wine warmly welcomed you back after the frosty excursions to Breck, Keystone or A-Basin. A cosy lounge area and easy internet access for guests added to the attractions. Great memories of our stay - very helpful people with a genuine interest in our ambitions.

Room Tip: All rooms spacious and well-equipped and a variety of bed combinations.

My mother, son and I stayed at the Frisco Inn for five nights and I can tell you hands down it was the highlight of the trip! The staff is exceptional and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one! We stayed in the family suite and really enjoyed the home cooked breakfast (no cheap continental breakfast here) along with the happy hour. The location was perfect and we always enjoyed returning to the Inn after our day's activities. I would HIGHLY recommend the Inn!

Our group of 10 friends spent 11 nights based at the Frisco Inn - using their brilliant condo at Ten Mile Creek as well as the room within the actual Inn for a ski holiday around Summit County at Christmas and New Year 2012, The Frisco Inn is superbly placed to ski around the resorts of Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain and Vail - you can access all of them in under half an hour with a rental car. The staff are just so helpful with their ski knowledge and guidance about local eateries - they act more like concierges. Restaurant bookings, ski passes and day to day arrangements are made on your behalf. Bruce and Steve were great hosts for us - cooking fab breakfasts, brewing special coffees and providing happy hour treats when we got back from ski-ing each day, Nothing is ever too much trouble for the team - Mark and Delrita in addition to the two main guys. The Inn has such a homely feel and enjoys a great location in the town - plus amazing value for money. We cannot thank Bruce and his team enough for a wonderful ski holiday.

The best part of the hotel is the staff. Friendly, warm and attentive. The rooms and common areas are comfortable and clean. The food and happy hour snacks are good quality. Off the main street, but very close to everything. It's a great place to stay!

The Frisco Inn on Gelena
-The new owners (purchased by Frisco Lodge early 2012) have family roots that have been providing hospitality in Frisco since the late 1800's. They must be doing something right.
-Somehow Frisco Inn is categorized as a B&B, and yes they have great beds, and a great breakfast, but this is really an inn.
-Large rooms with great views, comfortable beds. There is a hot tub and sauna.
-Hot soup at 4:30 during wine & cheese, and delicious warm cookies.
-Super friendly staff - Bruce, Steve and Delrita (the cookie maker) are awesome & helpful!
-The Inn has an atmosphere that invites conversation with other guests with plenty of areas to get away.
-Ski equipment storage area with boot dryers.
-Easy walking distance (as in 100 ft) to great shops & restaurants.

If you are like me, I always worry about going somewhere new that it might be time & money wasted. The Frisco Inn left me with the feeling of a small inn, doing honest/good work and providing a great experience for their guests. I love businesses like that. I recommend them highly.

Frisco
I'm a Colorado native, yet somehow always thought of Frisco as a place to get gas on my way somewhere else - what a loss all these years. But after taking Exit 201 instead of 203, I discovered Frisco. In terms of the feel of a Colorado mountain town, I consider Frisco in the "Goldilocks" category of just right. It seems like most mountain towns have graduated to rich and/or pretentious (Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Telluride and to some degree Breckenridge) or stagnated into places that are too "Colorado mountain town" to make anyone want to stay there (Georgetown, Leadville). Frisco has a flavor much more like Steamboat Springs (except not in the middle of nowhere.) It has not lost it's honesty as a Colorado mountain town while still providing travelers with a great experience that is not too touristy (ala Estes Park.) It is close to Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, & Vail and right on I-70 which means a straight shot back to Denver.

Everything about this place is INCREDIBLE! We wanted to go to Colorado to ski, but weren't sure which resort would have the best early-season snow. We decided on Frisco because we wanted the small-town feel and a centrally-located town. Having never stayed in a Bed & Breakfast before, we weren't sure what to think about the idea, but decided to give the Frisco Inn on Galena a chance. WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF OUR STAY!!!

The people made the difference for us. We weren't familiar with the area's resorts, but Steve answered all of our questions and gave us excellent advice on where to ski and where to eat. He went the extra mile to research the resorts' snow reports, open terrain and ticket prices. He even advised us on where to park at the resorts. He made us delicious waffles and lattes for breakfast and packed snacks for us for the slopes.

DellRita was an INCREDIBLE cook and overall awesome person. She made the best muffins imaginable and was just fun to talk with. There is no better way to start a day of skiing than with a hot breakfast and a warm conversation!

We didn't have to worry about a ritzy resort atmosphere and were able to enjoy all of the amenities the Frisco Inn on Galena offered. This was the perfect place for us as a married-couple to spend an extended weekend. The people genuinely care about making your stay as enjoyable as possible and you can tell by how much effort the put into their work. We've never experienced better hospitality from a hotel.

The location is perfect for skiers/boarders who aren't committed to one resort. Frisco is 15 minutes from Copper, Breckenridge, Keystone and Loveland. Vail is 40 minutes away.

Room Tip: The King Tower is AWESOME for couples.

Everything is the best you can expect. Service is extremely personable (emails sent before and after your stay as well as great service while there), made to order breakfast where options change daily, ideal location(tucked in just off Main Street), large rooms and comfortable beds. Hot tub available as well as computers available to use. Like being at home. Owner recently bought Inn and plans on adding to outdoor patio and perhaps other additions.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 204. Had an palladiun arch window but put pillows in front of windows to block sunshi...
