My husband and I were on a road trip from Chicago on our way to Denver for a Cubs game then on to Manitou Springs, then we had no destination.
The first night we decided on Ft. Morgan because it was close enough to Denver but we had hoped it would not be as pricey as the hotels in Denver. We did not want to stay in chain hotels but on a whim we had no choice.
We walked into the hotel to get a price on a room ($82 w/2 queen beds). The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly. There is a bar and a resturant. We ate in the bar that night. We had sandwiches. The food was good and price decent. The next morning the had a full breakfast buffet, it was sunday. It offered the usual fare on a buffet. They also had made to order omlets, and waffels w/toppings. If you stay at the hotel the price for breakfast is $5, if you don't it is $10.
