We got to our room and could not get in and had to get the desk clerk. He was friendly and came to help us, and decided to give us the room next to it. It was terrible! My aunt cousin and I are not big complainers and we can deal with our fair share of over looks but this was bad! The room smelled very strongly of smoke. There was a burrito left in the refridgerator. The door knob to the bathroon was broken. The tub was dirty and would not drain. The floor had not been vaccumed and had bits of toliet paper on it along with some mysterious brown stains in a few places. When we pulled back the covers to get in bed the under cover to one of the beds it had a huge white stain on it along with holes. This was at 11:20 so we called the desk and asked for a new blanket. At 11:50 my aunt had to get dressed to go to the desk herself to get them where she was taken to the laundry room. The blankets she brought back ended up having red stains on them. We had to sleep in our clothes and freeze because we did not want to use the blankets. If it had not been mid- night by then we would have just left all together. When inquiring about getting a refund for a completely unacceptable room we were told we had to contact hotels.com and they in return gave us the run around back to ramada. We had traveled on a delayed plane and drove 2 hours in the snow to come into this. We are really not ones to do things like this but i would hate for someone to have to deal with what we had to. It was a bad start to a vacation.

  • Liked — The bar tender gave us a free diet cherry coke for my aunt.
  • Disliked — Everything about the room was filthy.

Being a seasoned traveller, I have stayed all over the world in humble and luxurious locations, and never complained. Fort Collins has great hotels like the Armstrong - highly recommended. To save money, I went for an Internet deal. Arriving late, I wanted a hot bath. The water was cold, and the heater did not work. Wanrting to call home, the international line did not work. I called front desk, they said they knew this, but I still had to pay. The receptionist demanded that I come down at 2 Am to pay in cash for a call that did not come through! In the morning I walked through puddles of water from a leak, to the brekfast, advertised at complimentary on the Internet. I was charged 10$ - prepaid in cash before they would let me eat - and yelled at with swear words when I pointed out that they had advertised the breakfast as included. I checked out after the reception had tried to get me to pay double for the nights I did not want to stay, and checked into a nice ,and cheaper, Best Western. Ramada would not give refund. NEVER stay at F. C. Ramada!

This hotel is old, dark and tired. Rooms are clean but need updating and refurbishing. Stayed here twice in 2007, both times with group of 6 and 3 rooms....all rooms were the same.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. The rooms are filthy and smell horrible. The noise level was terrible. The staff was polite, but the manager was never available.

When we got there to check in after we had already had the rooms reserved we were told that those rooms were not available. We had been traveling for 12 hours and were exausted. We finally made our way to our rooms after looking all over the hotel ( they didn't tell us how to get there and the directions they gave were not accurate) and when we got in the room the first thing we noticed was the ceiling coming down over one of the beds. The next thing we noticed was that the bed sank clear to the floor when we sat down. The temperature outside was cooler than in the hotel, you literally broke a sweat walking down the hall because of the heat from the air conditioners running. The kids wanted to go swimming the next morning but....the pool was GREEN. You could not see the bottom of the pool and the lights to the pool were laying beside it. We went to eat breakfast and were told that we could not have the "free" breakfast because they didn't do that anymore...yet they gave us cards for it on the check in. We waited and I swear on everything that is Holy for 45 minutes to get our food and drinks after placing our order. We were sweating the entire time we waited for our food. The only thing they had to cool the place was two rotating fans. We noticed that the manager kept moving bacon from one plate to another without wearing gloves, nor did she have a hairnet. Our bathroom was another story....the bathtub was filthy. It had dirt in it that had probably been there forever. There were pennies in the bottom of the toilet and the whole establishment stunk. I would not recommend this hote to anyone. We will never stay there again!! I would however recommend the La Quinta. Very friendly staff there. That is where we went after we checked out. We voiced our concerns to the front desk but the teenager running the place didn't seem to care.

Wow, I'm guessing the pictures of the rooms on this website must have been taken at least 10 years ago! It sure looks nothing like that now! We had booked our stay for 3 nights...After the first night we were out of there! Our room was located outside, and the security doors were still unlocked. The room was in dire need of updates. One side of our bed was lumpy, the other side too soft. There was a huge stain on the ceiling, and the bathroom didn't look like it had ever been disinfected. Inside the hotel was horribly hot and uncomfortable, due to the fact that the individual room's airconditioners was blowing out hot air into the halls. The pool although it was huge, was green, and murkey. They did offer a free decent breakfast, if you are willing to wait 45 min sweating your butt off because the air conditioning doesn't seem to be working. When we voiced our complaints to the staff at the front desk when we cancelled our reservations for the rest of our stay, they basically agreed that the place was a dump.
