“Great place to unwind!”

Inn at City Park

Feb 14, 2008

We arrived in Fort Collins with two uncommitted days and we just wanted to disconnect for awhile...no time schedules...no structured days. Through a stroke of luck, we found Inn at City Park and it was the perfect place to relax and renew. The inn is a small home which has been remodeled and decorated in a comfortable country style. It sits in a residential area so traffic and noise are minimal. The inn was VERY clean, the bed comfortable, and the linens were new and upscale. Our innkeeper, Tara, was so friendly and helpful that we immediately felt right at home. The breakfasts she cooked for us, oh my, they were wonderful! The inn has a large wrap around porch and since the weather was mild, I made good use of a chase lounge for reading and napping...nice! One afternoon we used their bicycles (no extra charge) and had fun touring the area. One evening, we visited a local brew pub for supper and had a great lamb stew. Fort Collins has lots of things to do but we spent most of our time hibernating "at home" and thoroughly enjoyed it!
The Inn at City Park would be a perfect place to have a small business/family gathering. They have a nice yard with a barbecue in back, which guests are invited to use. Across the street is a huge city park that backs up to a municipal golf course with plenty of room to work off excess energy and breathe fresh Colo. air. The inn is within walking distance (about 1 mile) of the trendy Old Towne which has many small stores and great shopping. Good place to stay!!

We stayed at this great inn for my boyfriends birthday. He was working in Fort Collins and I drove up from Denver to meet him. Tara was a grest host and made his favorite breakfast that I requested. He said after we left that it was the best biscuits and gravy he'd ever had. I highly reccomend this quiet and beautiful inn to anyone looking for a great place to stay!!!

We stayed through New Year's Day and the recently renovated house was a pleasure to stay in. Nice hardwood floors and recently retiled bathrooms. Great room and comfortable bed. Very Clean. Excellent gourmet breakfasts at our convenience. Great service from the innkeepers. We highly recommend!

We stayed 3 nights just after a snow with the inn, grounds and park across the street presenting a charming winter scene. The inn was wonderfully clean, warm and welcoming. Both innkeepers were quite accommodating and offered an earlier breakfast, if needed. The breakfasts were yummy as were the afternoon snacks. The inn was very quiet and restful. The claw-footed tub in the "yellow room's" bathroom made for a delightful soak. We've stayed at a number of B & B's in Colorado and this is our new favorite. We will definitely stay again.

This B and B is located on a quiet street about one mile from Colorado State University. Across the tree lined street you will find a small golf course and city park. The Inn is newly remodeled and everything is spotless especially the bathrooms. It has a large front porch facing the park, a pond and waterfall in the back yard.
There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bath, and 2 bedrooms downstairs. There is a large dining room and sitting room with fireplace. The current innkeeper, Linda, cooks a great breakfast, provides wine and cheese in the late afternoon, and can answer all your questions about the area.
We took advantage of the special rate of the second night at half price. We were the only guests and enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the joggers, the golfers and the bicycle riders go by. A quiet spot at night. They provide photos of the guest rooms on their web site. Our room was the yellow room...Great bed, claw foot bathtub, large shower and small flat screen tv in our room. Yellow and Blue room share a common wall upstairs which could transmit sound, and the Green room is by itself down the hall. We enjoyed our two days and will return again when next in Ft. Collins.
