“Great Lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

We didn't have the time to come for dinner so we had lunch! Excellent! I had the Ravioli Florentine and it was made with a delicious creamy sauce and stuffed with ricotta.

“Always a pleasure to return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

We've eaten at Canino's many times over the past twenty years and have NEVER been disappointed. Their food is delicious, the portions are generous, they have terrific specials, and service has always been great when we've eaten there. I prefer to eat in the downstairs dining room as it has more "atmosphere" than the upstairs eating space.

I often order the small pizza with a salad, but on other occasions have ordered the pasta dishes, eggplant, and shrimp. They also have sampler platters with a choice of meat sauce or vegetarian sauce. Two of the salads that I like are the spinach salad and the pear with blue cheese salad.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a pleasant night out with family or friends!

“Very Satisfying Italian Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Canino’s says it’s a restaurant for Italians, and anyone who enjoys eating like an n Italian. Four of us from the second category had a late lunch in this independent restaurant that has operated locally for 30 years. Canino’s is situated in the converted first floor of a two-story house. Light walls with dark wood trim, stained glass panels and subdued lighting accent the dining rooms. Our four lunch entrees from the large menu were pasta primavera, cannelloni with sausage, a sampler plate and my blue cheese pear salad followed by Pollo Genovese. We were all happy with our choices. My “small” blue cheese pear salad with candied walnuts and vinaigrette dressing was a generous serving and one of the best pear salads I’ve had anywhere. The Pollo Genovese had diced sautéed chicken breast with artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and prosciutto in a spicy tomato cream sauce served over penne pasta. This was a delicious feast in itself. The spicy tomato sauce had enough zing to make you sit up and take notice, but it blended smoothly with the other flavors. Canino’s is a nice place to relax with friends over a leisurely meal, much like popular restaurants in Italy.

“Good but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013 via mobile

Decent food, but nothing great , and overpriced for the meals. Very good and friendly service, and nice looking place. Wine and beer only, no lemoncello
