“Don't miss the drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Great Colorado river. The Canyon west of Fort Collins is a great drive. Lots of fishing spots along the way. Its fun to see the rafts and kayaks in the late spring and summer. Drive all the way up to Cameron pass for good hiking. Take the turn down to Long Draw Reservoir and access to the North side of Rocky Mountain National Park and good hiking trails, or continue your drive west into North Park. Great fall colors along this drive

Everything about this area is just beautiful! Grab a lunch from town and sit by the river and enjoy the sounds of nature!

“Trout, trout, TROUT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Great fishing all up and down this river, but better the further up you go. Some especially nice runs and riffles you can access from the Poudre River Fish Hatchery - which is fun to take the kids to to feed the fingerlings. Great views and clean water, its the Rocky Mountain experience at its best!

“Nice for a hike, fire did a bit of a number”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Water has been a bit murky since the fire that swept through the area in the summer of 2012. But, still nice trails along the river, perfectly safe and easy to hike, bike, run.

“Our Paradise on Earth!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Cache La Poudre River and the Poudre River Canyon is our home away from home! The mountains, the river, the wildlife, the trails, the facilities all add up to one fantastic experience in Colorado! Perhaps a little lesser known to outsiders than the neighboring Rocky Mountain National Park, but so user friendly! Great for a day getaway or weekend trip, for sure.
