I went here with my mother as part of a mother/son weekly dinner (we like to try new restaurants as we catch up weekly since we don't get to see each other very often) and although the company was great, the service was not.
We went for happy hour so as to avoid the evening rush (in hindsight I can't believe there would be such a thing!) and our waitress never smiled, never made small talk, never offered to fill our water glass and never offered to prepare another drink. After we ordered a half order of crab cakes she never bothered to mention they were the size of a half dollar and that it might be better to order two instead of one.
After speaking to the 'manager' he continued to call me 'dude' and 'man' and never offered any sort of way in which to make things right.
It makes sense that the wait staff should attempt to upsell in any way possible (i.e. selling two small crab cakes instead of one in order to 1. satisfy the customer 2. provide for more revenue to the restaurant 3. make more money for herself as most customers tip based on a percentage of the total bill. It's a win-win-win in the event of an upsale!
I'll never go back but would have loved for the manger to offer some sort of gift card or something, even though I would have turned it down!
I'll never go back and hope that nobody else has to waste any hard earned money on this place.
GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!!!
