We were so pleasantly surprised to see the manicured and lush property that Lark Landing B& B was situated on. The private road to the B & B was beautiful. The innkeepers were the so kind, attentive and welcoming. Our beautiful room was a stones throw from the Arkansas River, which was right outside our room. Our first evening was spent sitting on our on our private deck listening to the soothing sounds of the running waters. Oh, it was so soothing. As evening fell upon us, Mark made a beautiful and cozy fire and the scent of the burning wood made us feel as though we were living back in the good old days. Barbara could not have been more gracious and attentive to us. Our bedroom had sliding doors that opened to our deck and it was there that we had morning breakfast. All ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection ! It was delivered to our room and all we did was carry it to our deck to dine and wake up to the sounds of the many song birds. Nary a sound from the outside world permeated our sanctuary. We used the Lark Landing as a stepping stone to Canon City where the start of the Royal Gorge Railway is located.
One will be hard pressed to find innkeepers who are warmer and kinder then Mark and Barbara. If you want to unwind, if you want tranquility, if you want to hear nature at its best....the Lark Landing is where you need to rest.
