“Business Retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2010

Small, recently opened hotel. Nice pool and outdoor area. Close to hiking trails and all kinds of outdoor adventures. Very hospitably family owned business. Large beds. Definitely worth the money (...did I mention affordable?).

The Riverside Inn, Fairplay, Colorado, provided me with a comfortable stay, cozy even, while in town on business. The town of Fairplay is small and old, charming, and high elevation. Very cool place. The hotel was warm, comfortable, and new. Super clean, fresh smelling rooms were very comfortable. The TV lacked any depth of channels, with a partial cable selection of only a dozen or so channels. The hotel also did not provide wireless internet, although they had a business section for access. Next door to the hotel is a pub with a mediocre bar food menu but a charming environment, where the beers flowed as the snow fell outside. This was a comfortable, if slightly expensive hotel to stay at, and if I stay in Fairplay again, I'll definitely call them.

the hotel was very nice! the nicest in town by far. the front desk was very friendly and helpful at all times. the rooms were great and had flat screen tv's as well. (bonus) the indoor pool and hot tub made for a great stay and the continental breakfast was very good, try the waffles. also, they do quad (4 wheeler) rental which was a blast. all in all i would recommend it highly.

My Buddies & I all own land in Fairplay were we have Campers on our properties. On ocassion either the snow or wind just make camping brutal, so we'll stay at the Riverside Inn. We have found the Management/Staff fantastic & very accomedating. From the Hot tub to grilling on the back porch, I have really enjoyed my stays at the Riverside Inn. I also recommend the Bowling Ally acroos the Hwy for good times.

Great location, great place to stay with Friends and Family. This was the most memorable stay we had on our 10 day stay in Colorado. The entire staff was friendly and helpful finding our way around the mountains. Will stay here in the future as the budget permits.

I regularly travel 285 from Denver to Durango. As I looked online for a place to stay , I came across a website for the new Riverside Inn in Fairplay and decided to try this new motel. Very very nice! When I travel in my job, I stay at Hyatts, Hiltons, Marriotts, primarily because they have great beds. Well, the Riverside Inn beds are just as comfy! Enjoyed the 32" Samsung flatscreen. A great shower! And I appreciate free high speed. You're sure to enjoy the Riverside Inn in Fairplay.
