“Fabulous country style”

This was a great place to stay while seeing our show at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The cabin was so cute and had a private outdoor hot tub, a semi-private deck on stream. The restaurant had a FANTASTIC breakfast that was included. So romantic. This is an excellent choice for a couple or group of adults. The cabin has lots of decoration so I would not bring little ones here. GREAT PLACE.

The owners of Cabins at Country Road did an excellent job at making the Bootlegger's Barn comfortable and memorable - from the whiskey barrel fence and old photos on the walls, to the amazing shower and well-appointed kitchenette.

The private hot tub offered a great way to unwind after a busy day of play in the Colorado mountains. We loved kicking back and enjoying a bottle of wine by the creek, too.

Be sure to have an appetite ready for breakfast at the Country Road Cafe. Huge, mouth-watering portions that will get your day started off right.

The Cabins at Country Road was the perfect place to start our Colorado mountain vacation.

Room Tip: One thing to keep in mind, the bedroom in the Bootlegger's Barn is up a fairly steep flight of s...

Whenever we travel on vacation we try to find unique and special places for the family. We discovered The Cabins at Country Road via this site and others, and we are thrilled that we did. The cabins are a short drive from Denver on Colorado Highway 74, situated between Kittredge and Evergreen. They are hidden from the road behind the restaurant the owners operate (more on that shortly). Surrounded by lush landscaping and with the sounds of Bear Creek off the back porch the cabins could not be in a better location. The Huckleberry House our family of four stayed in was perfect from the wonderful beds and linens to the well-appointed kitchen and living area. When you step out back you are greeted by patios with a fire pit, gas grills, sitting areas, and the wonderful sounds of Bear Creek in the background.
The owners, Sheri and Mark, are only a moment away and they truly have a passion to create a wonderful experience for all who they host. Whatever you need, they will make every effort to have it for you, along with taking the time to do things you do not ask for. For example, we asked Mark about the fishing in Bear Creek and the next day he provided us with a fly rod and tackle.
Guests have full use of a hot tub and sauna, and we used both, and they are squeaky clean and in like new condition.
Each night, if you desire, you may order breakfast for the next morning and it is delivered hot to your cabin at a time you note. The food from the Country Road Café is not only incredibly good, but the servings are huge! The place is packed every morning and it is easy to see why. We all felt the breakfasts were the best we had ever ate.
We are native Coloradans now living out of state, and from this point forward when make the trip back home The Cabins at Country Road will be our place to stay.

We loved our stay at The Cabins at Country Road. Our family of 6 has two teens and two very small children, and everyone was happy. The Huckleberry House was so charming- a beautiful western decor, log-cabin style, but with all the modern amenities. There is even a hot tub and sauna for guest use (shared with the other cabin). The beds are super comfy, they even iron the sheets! The sound of the Bear Creek outside is lovely and soothing, a wonderful way to fall asleep. The area is cute and close to lots of great attractions. If you are hungry, the cafe run by the owners of the cabins is delicious and just steps away! There is a full kitchen for cooking, though. We highly recommend this place, it is a real gem!

Flew into Denver Airport, took a 50 minute drive to Evergreen, a fun little foothill town with lake and charector. Found the cabins and the resturaunt easily. When you park, the owner checks you in. He opens these great heavy castle gates into a landscaped retreat with two cabins, a serentity house, a creek side jacuzzi, flowers trees, birds, an exceptional water front patio, and a wonderful sense of calm.

Then he took us into our cabin. Exceptional.Designed by and built by the owners, it was breath taking.comfortable, and homey. The pictures on the website do not do it justice.
We spent hours on the patio, and when we had to we ducked down into denver, for a wedding. We also found it convenient to Mount Evans, and Red Reock. They deliver exceptional meals to the cabins, and other wise left us alone. I saw the High Land Haven place and this beats it by far. Do your self a favor Go!!!

When we walked through the gate which separates Highway 74 from the cabins and surrounding property, it was like entering a new dimension of relaxation and calm. We met the owner Mark first, and he's absolutely dynamite. One morning, while we sat on the deck drinking coffee in the crisp air, Mark was stoking the fire for the wood-fired pizza oven. Beyond being an amazing host, he's a crack up too - the funniest host I've seen. But the pizza oven....what a great way to spend lunch - cook your own pizza, hand made by Sherry and her staff at the cafe, and then sitting creek side where you can actually see the trout swimming through the water. It was a great experience and Mark and Sherry are great hosts. Highly recommend the cabins for a getaway with close friends or family.

We rented both cabins (much more like a fabulous spa atmosphere). The immaculate grounds, right on the creek, were a perfect site for our son's rehearsal & rehearsal dinner-very close to the Evergreen Lake House, where a lot of weddings take place. Mark & Sheri took all the stress away. As always the food was fabulous! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend! We better stop raving about the place, or we'll never get a reservation again!
