I spent 2 nights at the Hyatt Place DTC earlier this month. Overall I thought it was comfortable, clean, and in a good location.
Check in: I arrived around noon and no one was at the front desk. There is an automated check in machine in the lobby that creates your key. I had no problem getting my key, but thought it a bit strange that no one was at the desk to check me in. (Eventually someone showed up to check in one of my workmates.)
Rooms: clean, comfortable. The rooms are not huge, but they are plenty big for one or two people. A nice sized, HD TV and a refridgerator are in each room. The beds are comfortable. The only complaint I had was the light from the parking area shown directly into my room, and it was impossible to get the room completely dark at night.
Restaurants: A great selection of restaurants are located around this hotel on Belleview. Directly next to the motel is YaYas European Grill, which has a great selection of Italian and Greek food. I ate there twice and highly recommend it. There is also a Morton's Steak House down the street if you wish to splurge.
Location: Easy to get to I-25 for fast access to downtown Denver or east to the airport.
Breakfast bar: good selection of fruit, yogurt, coffee, and breads.
Overall, this is a good choice if you have to be in the Tech Center area. It is not very close to downtown or the tourist attractions such as Coors Field or the museums. I would stay here again if my work brings me back this way.
