“Very nice stay at Comfort Suites Denver”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We stayed at Comfort Suites Denver for 4 nights in July 2013. The hotel is very nice, our room had two queen beds and a sofa bed and was quite spacy for our family of 5. The breakfast was really nice but finished a bit early (9 am) for our taste since the teens were hard to pull out of bed early enough to have breakfast. During breakfast there was free soda as much as you like, and also in the afternoon.

There was an indoor pool and a gym but we did not use them during our stay.
We did a litle bit of shopping and the area is great for shopping, short car ride to a huge mall and the outlet at Castle rock is only about 10-15 min. drive away.

We appreciate your comments. We pride ourselves on our amenities and service and truly believe you will not find a better and more conveniently located hotel in the Denver area. We are only 15 minutes from downtown, 1 mile from Park Meadows Mall and within walking distance to RTD Light Rail. We look forward to serving you again. Thanks Again.

This hotel was very convenient. Very clean. Had a great breakfast with a lot of food options. Also has an indoor pool and hot tub. The suite was very comfortable. Sitting area with microwave and fridge. Two queen beds with two closets. Very nice. The only problem was the loud air conditioning unit.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments. I am thrilled you found value in our amenities and rooms. I am very disappointed by the problems you experienced with the air conditioner in your room. Since receiving your comment we have replaced the A/C unit the room. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The room was just ok, fairly clean. Smallish bath, beds were very close together. I guess to squeeze in the sofa bed. I also thought there would be separation between the sleeping area and living area. In looking back through the pics, I realized almost all of them are from the king suite which does have a door between the 2 areas. It seemed a little deceptive. Coffee maker makes 1 cup at a time.

The breakfast is not good. It's your typical free hotel breakfast. Coffee is terrible.

The only pro would be that the bedding was spotless.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your comments and apologize that our property did not meet your satisfaction. I truly believe that your experience was an anomaly, as by and large, our property exceeds expectations. We will certainly review our online pictures to make sure that they accurately describe our room types as well as our breakfast to ensure that the items served are of the highest quality. Also, as you noticed, the in-room coffee makers were recently upgraded to one-cup brewer. I apologize that you did not appreciate this change, however the goal was to provide each guest with a gourmet fresh cup of coffee each and every time. Please feel free to contact the hotel directly if we can do anything to further address your comments.

We booked this hotel largely because of other reviews on this site in which previous travelers had commented on the indoor pool area, which turned out to be very nice, and the breakfast, which I thought was pretty mediocre. When we travel with our 4 and 6 year old boys, we always look for a place with a nice pool and a suite with separate sleeping and living areas so we can put the kids to bed at a normal time and not be stuck tiptoeing around in a dark hotel room until we're ready to sleep. This hotel advertises separate areas in its double queen rooms. The problem is: their idea of separate is having two four foot 1/4 walls on either side of a giant archway that leaves a wide open space between the beds and the couch. Worse still, the only television in the whole room is in the sleeping area. When I called to complain, I was told that only the king suites offer an actual physical barrier between the two spaces. Since that would mean either my kids or my wife and I would be sleeping on a notoriously uncomfortable sleeper sofa, we opted to suck it up and stick with the room we were given. The hotel wasn't bad overall, but I felt mislead by their web page and the whole "separate" thing and thought other families should be well aware before they book here.

My husband and I stayed here for a week. We found our room clean and with nice amenities. The breakfast offered a variety of choices. We also used the pool and fitness facilities which were ample for our needs. The hotel is close to many restaurants and shopping too. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Denver area.

Room Tip: Our room was a king size room, down the hall from the elevator and on the 3rd floor. Nice location...

I travel a lot and I'm a frequent stayer at Choice Properties. I was really impressed with this hotel. Granted, I was updated into a suite with a separate bath area, but the property was well kept and the room was beautiful. They have an executive special every weekday and the Asian restaurant next door provides food, while the restaurant provides drinks. They have a nice exercise facility and a nice indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is five minutes from Park Meadows Mall, arguably the best mall in Denver and IKEA is also five minutes away. There are literally dozens of restaurants within a mile of the property. Try Magione's across the street. Terrific Italian food and reasonable. A Light rail station is two minutes away, so you can take the train downtown and back without dealing with traffic. I will definitely stay here again. This is a terrific value.

Room Tip: Odd numbered rooms face the back of the hotel. Much less outdoor lighting will filter into the room...

We spent 4 days there. Called the front desk for recommendations for dining, as many places stopped delivery at 9 pm... Front desk was very helpful.

As for the room, the room was clean, nice and quiet. Beds were comfortable, and contained both soft and firm pillows. Breakfast was fresh. Food was kept stocked, and it was fresh every morning.

The only downsides we found at the hotel was the elevator seemed to be really slow (we only used it once, as our room was right next to the stairs) and the "adults only" time in the pool was not enforced very well, as there were 7 kids in the pool at 11 pm. Staff came in after 1030 to put some towels in for the pool area while the kids were in there. They weren't the annoying screaming kids, otherwise we would have brought it up to the front desk. Some people may want a kid free pool/hot tub experience, the night we went to the pool they were not enforcing the adult only timeframe.

The parking lot was ample for the hotel, and the pool/hot tub was nice.

Overall, I'd stay here again the next time I'm in Denver.
