“Indicative of the mountain spirit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Very nice establishment. The building is an original log cabin restaurant and the entrees include Elk fillets, buffalo rib eye steaks, and local fish. Reasonably priced and highly recommendable.

“Interesting place, friendly people, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

My wife and i dined at thsi place recently and were not disappointed. While the ombiance may not be for everyone, one finds themselves surrounded by an interesting array of regional artifacts. The wait staff was very firendly, the food was very good, certainly not what you would find everywhere.. We had among other things the the sausage sampler and buffalo burger with sweet potatoe fries.

“Not good tonight”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Great atmosphere, but a touristy kind of place. Surely they serve good food. After all, people were there. Indeed, the salad was fine. Downhill the rest of this run. We split a porterhouse steak. Lots of gristle and fat. If this were meat from my local grocery, I would be surprised that it could be so bad. Baked potato awful. Hard to mess that up, but they did. Waiter had to notice that I left so much of my steak on the plate. No comment. It's sad, because I root for places like this.
That's all. Hope your experience is better.

“Unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

I always like bringing out of town guests here for its interesting decor (former gas station!) and wide ranging western menu complete with local fish. My only beef is their use of the salt shaker - if you order a french dip sandwich or philly cheese steak, you will be reaching for water the next 24 hours. Otherwise, the preparations and service are terrific as is the price, since it's a 'down valley' restaurant locals frequent in Edwards CO, right off the interstate. Definitely need to dine at lunch or early dinner (before 6pm) if you want a table weekends or holiday periods.

“Geat local bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

You would never know that this old converted gas station would have such great food Every kind of wild game you would want and fresh trout and at least two other choices The interior is filled with all kinds of old animals (stuffed) and old licence plats etc A great local place
