LOCATION - GREAT - WALK TO THE HISTORICAL CITY CENTER
HOTEL - It was "fine" The property is old and worn.
Our check-in went smooth until my friend came back and showed me our room (#200) on the end next to the road. Went back to the front desk and asked if it's noisy and was told it was not. "the city shuts down at 11pm" He didn't mention what time the city wakes up...
When I pulled my sheets down I found socks in the bed. (The linens were clean-looked like the socks went thru the wash) Plus I was too tired to address the issue that night.
The next morning I presented the socks to the front deck, questioned the noise and lack of sleep I received. Manager on duty told me it was considered a noisy room.
I'm not a complainer, but at check out I nicely adressed the issues and asked what kind of compensation I would receive. The manager comped me one night and I thanked him.
I then reminded them that I was a travel agent and an employee of AAA for the past 16 years.
