One night was plenty for us at this hotel for the following reasons:
The non-smoking room we requested reeked of stale (and fresh) cigarette smoke as did the the furniture; large noticeable stains on the carpet; adjoining room allowed us to hear our neighbor's telephone conversations and choice of television programs; paper-thin walls made it possible for us to hear everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) that adjoining room guests were doing.
We were very dissapointed in the low quality of this property since other TripAdvisor members rated it fairly well. Maybe we were in an older part of the building that didn't receive the proper updates (don't stay in room 229!)
The only redeeming part of our stay was the continental breakfast, which was very good, and of course the satisfaction in knowing that we wouldn't be spending another night there.
For $100 a night, I believe there are better, cleaner, and more sound accommodations than the Best Western Mountain Shadows.
