We decided on Logwood based on other visitor's reviews. I was very pleased with our decision. The Logwood is a cozy, warm B&B with comfortable beds, gracious and helpful hosts and delicious, large breakfasts. The Animas Suite is perfect with children because you have private rooms and a rec room across the hall with a pool table, playstation, etc... We met wonderful folks at breakfast every morning.

Arrived in mid-January and had the whole place to ourselves. Have only seen places like this in magazines...just beautiful! Beautiful log furniture in the rooms. Bed was a little too firm for me, but that's the only complaint I have. Looking out our window and watching the river run and the snow covered fields was just breath taking. Maggie was out of town, but Paul took very good care of us. I wish I could cook like he does!! Breakfast was great. Had warm and friendly conversations with him while we ate our breakfast ( he doesn't just cook for you, serve it, and leave. He sits and visits with you till you are thru eating). Had little brownies and cookies sitting out in the afternoon for you too. Would definantly go back again!! A+

We are making our third trip back to the Logwood, Paul & Maggie and their lovely family are the best hosts you could wish to meet. Nothing is too much for them to do for you. The Logwood is a heaven on earth.
It breaks our hearts to leave each time. Sitting on their deck watching the humming birds will always be a memory that remains with us. We originally booked in for 2 nights ended up staying 5 and only time stopped us staying longer. Trudy & Keith Wibberley

The Logwood was a wonderful B&B with everything you could possibly ask for. The Mesa Verde room is definitely the best with a window overlooking the Animas River. It is a beautiful, quiet oasis about 12 miles north of Durango.
