We used the motel, just as a one night place to sleep that fit our requirements of pet friendly, not expensive for Durango in high season and convenient, but were surprised at how run down it was.
The entire property is shabby, the lobby coffee and sweet rolls were almost non-existent with only a couple of chairs cramped against a wall at the front desk, a charge for ice for the room which seemed unreasonable in light of the $100 price for substandard lodging.
The Adobe website advertises "convenient downtown location" which might be true if you had business in that part of town, but if you're a tourist interested in the historic district of Durango this motel is not within easy walking of that at all. It was misleading.
We love our dog and other people's dogs, but the two, huge resident Newfoundlands (very friendly) had to be stepped over in the tiny lobby and could use a good bath to be less smelly. We like casual places, but the Adobe either needs a makeover and a bit more emphasis on professionalism or prices cut in half.
The staff was pleasant, but we would not stay there again.
