“Amazing food and service!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I went for the "$20 early diner's" dinner and it was nothing less than amazing! It comes with an appetizer, entree and dessert. They also didn't charge for my husband's soda.

We had their soup of the day- Parsnip Green Apple Bisque. I was unsure about it but the waitress said that I can get something else if I don't like it. It was sooo delicious! The steak and potatoes has my mouth watering, just thinking about it. It puts any steak house that I have been to, to shame. We had their pie of the day for dessert- mixed berry. My husband doesn't like pie but he raves about it. The crust was delicious!

We could see why all the other restaurants in town have old, crabby waitresses...because all the nice ones work here. They were so kind and considerate. Our waitress also knew the menu back and forth.

You should never go to Durango without going here. It's a main reason I will come back!

“Got me good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

And, in a great way! We love the food And drink offering in this Durango restaurant. Even if you don't drink the martini names are worth the read and will make you laugh. We have eaten here about 7 times and each meal has been incredible. Allow this place to get you too!

“Very nice surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

What a nice restaurant! The atmosphere is relaxing and service is incomparable. Everyone in our party of six loved their dinner choices. Those who had trout loved it, as did those who dined on salmon. Beef was a good choice, too. The service was fabulous. The table shared the Avalanche for dessert - it was truly enough for 6!

“Best Pepper Steak I Have Ever Had.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

We stayed at the Strater and had dinner our first night at the Mahogany Grill which is the hotels gourmet restaurant. Both my girl friend and I had the pepper steak and it was the best. You will hear people say that they could cut their steak with a fork, well we could literally cut our steaks with a fork. Perfect seasoning and perfect sides completed this wonderful meal which we decided to top with bananas foster, which was actually prepared at our table, flames and all. If you stay at the Strater, or are just in Durango and want a great meal, try the Mahogany Grill.
