Our initial check-in took about 15 minutes because the owner/desk clerk was on a personal call, outside smoking a cigarette while we were inside repeatedly ringing the bell for service. This occurred repeatedly throughout our stay and we could hear her carry on conversations from inside our motel room as she was on a cordless or cell phone a stone's throw away. This was a bit disturbing.
The rooms are adequate, very clean, but in need of remodeling especially in the bathroom and kitchenette area. The faucets dripped and we had to place hand towels in the basin to refrain from hearing "drip, drip, drip" all night, even with the faucet cranked all the way closed. The lino floor had seen better days and the tub was quite worn. Cable TV reception was "fuzzy".
I would stay here if I was short on money and was looking for a place with a kitchenette where I could make some simple meals.
We had two rooms and the second room had issues with maid service. They did not come at all on one day, even though we were gone for over 6 hours that afternoon, and the next day they showed up at 9:30 AM, knocked on the door (of which we yelled "Later!" since we were still sleeping) and then maid service decided to enter our room while it was occupied! Not a nice way to wake up.
Our alarm clock was also set for alarm by the previous guests and we were awakened by that around 6 AM in the morning.
If you can deal with some inconvience or problems for a discount in price then this is a fine place for you. If you want flawless then stay somewhere else.
