“Extremely Rude Waitress/Mananger”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2011

We just came back from cuckoo's and are extemely dissapointed! The Waitress Kim or Kimmy added a 20% gratuity to our check without letting us know. When we asked her about it she claimed she added it because we had not tipped her the last 4 times we had been in there. We have only had her as our waitress one other time and we always tip 15% roughly. We haver never not tipped. These people are not deserving of your hard earned money or time, please do not waste your time and money with these bottom feeders!

“Good Wings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2010

Better than average wings, good sides as well. Wife loved her sandwich. Great pub/sports bar atmosphere, with lots of different programs on the TV's. Waiter was nice, friendly. We were in after the lunch crowd (around 1:30) so it wasn't crowded. Had some local beer which was great as well. Was a great place to stop in, rest, and cool off on a 98 degree day. Seems like it would be a great place to catch a game at nite.

1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2010 via mobile

We heard a lot of good things about this resturant. So we tried it. The service was bad the waitress was the manager and had to people skills. She had all of her freinds hanging around inside and out of the resturant and completely ingnored us to talk with them. As we left we did not tip her n she called me a [----]! We will never returnm word of mouth could make of break a resturants reputation and it looks like its going to break the one!

“Terrible Service!!! We will not be returning!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2010

My family and I visited Cuckoos this weekend and were surprised by level of customer service we received.
We waited for 45 minutes to get a table(1st come,1st served there is no waiting list) When we did get a table our waitress was extremely rude! we ordered margaritas and the 1st round was great but the 2nd drinks we receive tasted bad. When I told the waitress she became defensive and argued w/ me that her bartender doesn't make mistakes. Her bartender proceeded to approach our table and yell at the top of her lungs at us!
WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS ESTABLISTMENT!!!!!!

“basic pub/bar food - incredibly slow service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2010

The restaurant is very much a "pub like" atmosphere. There's a full bar and a menu full of chicken items (& more). We went on a Thursday evening (about 7pm) and had wings (hot), potato skins and nachos. Their wings were no better or worse then any other wings I have had (my favorite were from the Pour House in Boston). I found the HOT to be hot! The potato skins were soggy. The nachos were quite good (a nice big messy pile - crunchy on top & getting a little soft as you get to the bottom).

The service was terribly slow. We had been sitting for 10 minutes (in a half full restaurant) when we went to the bar & asked if we ordered at the bar or were there wait staff? The bar said our server would be with us shortly. 5 minutes later a server brought us menus. Another 10 minutes until the server came back to take our order. The food takes a while to come (at least they tell you this in the menu).

The 3 dishes, a margarita & 15% tip totaled just under $50.

If you want a quiet pub with ordinary food, lots of TVs to watch sports and are not in a hurry; you might like it here. We come to Durango from Farmington (1 hr drive) twice a month for errands/dining and we won't be eating here again. There are just too many other good choices in Durango.
