Description: Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

“World-class beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

Immediately upon entering the establishment we were greeted not only by a cute and friendly hostess but also by countless medals from GABF and World Beer Cup. I knew we were in for a treat. The bartender knew exactly what I was in the mood for and quickly served me a seasonal Saison! OUTSTANDING. I've had one other saison in Durango but my friends and I all agreed this is far superior. They also had a bourbon barrel aged barleywine (Buffalo Trace) an imperial IPA on nitro. The food complimented the beer very well. Overall a great time. It was a memorable weekend for my friends and I. We can't wait to be back...

“Great Lunch and Fast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

Great lunch and very fast service. The burgers were very tasty and the other menu items ordered were also very good. This is a good value for overpriced Durango.

“Stevie is the best.”

Came from California . Wish we had a great place as this in my town. Micro beer was great too. We had fish and chips and fish tacos. Super quality and taste.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

Steamworks is a hoppin' place! Lots of action and noise. We ate outside, which was quieter. The food was fantastic we ordered everything from pizza to salmon. Everyone was happy with their entrees! We enjoyed it! The beer was enjoyed by most of our party... but I loved the fact that I could order a glass of a local wine.
