Description: Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

“Good food and upbeat atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We had a late afternoon lunch and enjoyed our time at this restaurant. The servings were generous and the service was pleasant. Obviously great selection of brews to choose from. Lots of energy felt in this venue.

“Great atmosphere, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is a micro brewery with great atmosphere. The food is very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. It's a good place for families with small kids as they give them chalk with which they can draw on the wood floors. What a hoot!

“Best Brew Pub That I Can Remember”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Looking to catch a World Series game, we were directed here by our hotel. Lucky us!
The selection of brews should satisfy any taste and the food was a big cut above the usual.
The quinoa burger with beer braised onions was huge, very flavorful (think healthy onion rings) and the Lovely Companion had a flat bread with great a huge serving of smoked salmon..teriific to say the least. Worth a visit!

“Awesome Food and Brews”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Some of my favorites at Steamworks are the Chicken Quesadilla, Habanero Wings, Ignachios, and Cajun Chicken Sandwich. These all go great with a Steam Engine Lager and Prescribed Burn Brew. Great location and a very friendly staff. Best place to dine and relax while in Durango :)

“Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

What a great ending to the day with beer and dinner at Steamworks. The Chop Salad was recommended by the wait staff and DELICIOUS. My husband ordered the pork special and was very pleased. Great beers and the staff was the best we had during a three week trip.
