After multiple times visiting Durango and Ska Brewing, I decided to write a review. This place is a little off the beaten path, located in an industrial park, but if you like good beers, you should make it a point to visit the tasting room.
Keep in mind, this is not your typical brewpub. This is a brewery with a tasting room. The cool thing about this is the multitude of beers on tap. They have their standard offerings like True Blonde Ale, Modus Hoperandi, Steel Toe Stout, Ten Pin Porter, etc... but they typically have a few specialty brews. When I was there last week, they had 'Diff', an orange, cream stout, which was awesome, and 'Necherious', a spin on their Nefarious Porter - with the spin being that it's aged in oak barrels with cherries. Another stellar offering. They also have their standard stout on Nitro.
Don't come expecting food. They have no menu. They do have the Zia Tacqueria food truck in the summer time, but nothing in the winter months. You can bring your own food in though which is cool, and sometimes they have some type of frito lay chips. I do miss the old popcorn machine at the old location, but according to Holly, too many people were burning themselves, so they had to get rid of it!
A great place with awesome servers, great beer, and it's cool to watch them brewing / canning / bottling some beers through the windows in the tasting room. Lots of cool Ska merchandise for sale too.
Check it out - good times!
