“Good price BUT ......”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We were looking for an inexpensive motel that would take pets. We selected this motel based on previous experience with this chain. We were incredibly disappointed. The room we were given was more like a closet. We could barely walk by the end of the bed. The carpet was filthy. The paint in the bathroom was peeling. The so called breakfast was a joke. If they said coffe and pastry that would have been OK but breakfast? It appears that there are other rooms that may be larger. If you stay here be sure to ask for a BIG room.
On the plus side the staff was very nice.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the Knights Inn at Durango, Colorado in such great repair and shape. The front desk started off with a pleasant greeting and professional approach in checking us in expeditiously and providing information regarding the Narrow Gauge Railroad from Durango to Silverton. I received my receipt and key to the room and when I opened the room I was met with a very pleasant smell and the room was very clean that included the walls, ceilings, floor, furnishings to include a microwave and refrigerator. The price was the lowest but the rating was 3 and that should reflect a higher number in my own personal opinion. This is a very clean place to stay!

Room Tip: The room I had was a very clean room all the way around.

A local recommended this motel to us. It is a bit dated but was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The 2 queen beds were comfortable and our room was quiet, so we got a very good nights sleep. The breakfast had a good selection including a hot waffle machine. There was plenty of room to enjoy your meal. Don't be put off by earlier poor reviews. There was another knights inn a few blocks south of this one that no longer exists. It had a poor reputation. This motel had the best room rate of all of the motels on our trip.

Room was clean and staff was very friendly. Needed to keep front of the room closed up to keep the room smelling like a nonsmoking room, but this is standard in motels with this kind of layout.

Internet was very slow when I stayed, so I went to the public library for faster speeds.

I just needed a place to sleep for a few nights on an unexpected visit. Nothing too horrible, old furnishings and the room was quite crowded. Wi-fi barely usable it was so slow. Lots of hot water and ok bed, old-school tv, kinda musty. My title for this review pretty much says it all.

room was clean, TV had cable with HBO and espn. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 5 minutes from downtown Durango. If price is your main concern then Knights Inn has excellent value. Overall i was very pleased with my stay.

Booked on Priceline. Arrived to a friendly reception. Asked about laundry facilities and given cleaning products free, nice touch. Room was clean, but cramped. Maze type layout to get from the front door to the bathroom/backdoor. We were given a queen sized bed, which was hard and uncomfortable. Spent time in the hot springs the next day due to aching back. Breakfast should read, first come, first served. Arrived at 9am and not even a piece of bread left. Use if you need a roof over your head, otherwise go elsewhere.
