We stayed 2 nights here for a very reasonable amount. Our room was quiet and very clean. Staff was helpful.
The only downside for us were the outside lights. They were too bright & the curtains let a lot of that light in.

Durango is full of hotels of all ilks (we know, we used to live here). We made a one-night stop as we passed through, and didn't want to spend a lot of money since it really was just to sleep. After reading reviews, I decided to take a chance on the good price. Glad we did. We were traveling with two other families, both also booked here. One of them, like us, decided not to let the exterior scare us off (the other family did go elsewhere). Honestly, this is an old property and although it is well-maintained on the inside, it does not excude an up-to-date vibe in any way. The rooms that we and our friends had were clean and included a mini fridge and microwave. The bathrooms were quite clean (although towels could be bigger). The A/C unit was tucked in the back area of the room which kept the room comfortable and made for a much quieter sleeping environment. The morning breakfast (included in the rate) was fine to start the day (even had make your own waffles). Durango is a pricey place for lodging, so if you can live without all the bells and whistles, I'd say this place is fine for a couple nights. Spend your money on all the awesome things to do in Durango.

Room Tip: This motel is on a busy street, so ask for a room in the back if you're bothered by street noise...

Thank you very much for the review and your business. We strive to provide all that we can for a lower priced hotel. As you noted this is an older motel but we try our best to keep it well maintained and as clean as we possibly can. Thank you again for your review and we hope to see you again soon.

Poor breakfast selection, no maintenance in room (phone cable cut, curtains hanging badly, and the like). Noisy on the 550. Luckily, the staff were very nice especially Leroy and that made up for the rest. After all, the room was only for sleeping as we spent the whole day out hiking, etc.

Room Tip: As far away from the 550 as possible.

The rooms were what you would expect for a cheap hotel. But the staff makes up for that for sure. They were very friendly as long as you don't use the towels to clean your bike. I stayed at the 35th and main location it looked a lot better than the one closer to down town. I stayed two nights and would return there again my next time through town. Definitely a good place to lay your head after a long ride.

Considering its location in an up-priced market, the Knight Inn was a good buy for under $80 in the summer vacation season. The staff was friendly and helpful at checking. The parking was near our door. This older property is spotlessly clean, neat and in good repair. Unlike many upscale hotels, sheets stayed on the bed all night long! The continental breakfast of self-made waffles, cold cereal, juice, and muffins was sufficient. HOWEVER, if being connected to your email and the internet is important to you, this is not your cup of tea. In fact, if you and your traveling companion have many devices that simply need recharging, you will be hard put to find spare sockets to plug into. We would stay here again,

Room Tip: A small, classic "L-shaped" motel, there really aren't "better" rooms though...

Thank you for your post and online review. We truly find these reviews helpful as they give us a direction as to where to better aim our focus to serve, you, our valued guest. We are happy to hear you appreciated the cleanliness of our property, we take pride in its appearance and do all we can to keep it in the condition our guest have come to expect. As for your comment on the internet access, we will take this into advisement and have the wireless access points looked at for better reception. We will also look into ways to create more charging ports for electronic devices. Once again thank you.

Very small room, no chair in the room. The shower stall is very small (watch out if you turn on very hot water...there is no place to go). Breakfast started at 7 am and they dont open early. If you want to catch the free ride to down town for the train ride your going to have to get your coffee somewhere else. Not worth it!

We are sorry to hear that you felt our hotel was not worth your stay. We realize that we are a small, inexpensive hotel and there are some things that are just not practical for us. We are a small hotel but we try to accommodate as best we possibly can. Unfortunately as we are small staffed so opening earlier than 7 is not feasible for us. We hope that we can serve you again in the future and thank you for your stay with us.
