“rooms are a bit small but a good place to stay anyway.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

We stayed here in early October. The motel itself is older but well maintained. The owner was very pleasant and helpful in answering our questions as to where to go to eat etc. It is situated near the northern part of town but if you're there for the train ride or just to go downtown there is good transit straight down the main road. This tram is free, just takes donations. The parking stalls are a bit small and the rooms are tight. We had the kitchenette so you weren't stuck having to go get ice to keep your drinks cool. All told the place was clean, our room was quiet. The wifi worked great. I'd stay here again

Room Tip: I would go with the kitchenette, they seem to have more space

After a bad experience in a non-chain motel a few doors away two years ago we almost decided to stay in a chain motel this time but we’re so pleased we didn’t. Our first impression of the room was CLEAN ! and this impression was reinforced during the stay.

The motel doesn’t pretend to have kitchens but for short stays the little kitchenette is just right for our needs and it’s so nice not to have to use a bathroom basin for kitchen washing up. The rooms have heating and cooling and as we were there just as the overnight frost season stated it was good to be able to warm up a bit in the morning before scraping the frost off the car.

I made a point of popping in to the office before we left to say how pleased we were with everything and the owner said they’d just had a bad review about the room we had as the kitchenette was not good enough. All I can say is that if people want full self-catering kitchens and dining rooms then they should book them and pay the price……. We’ve stayed at all sorts of accommodation in various areas across the SW States now and can say this is one of the best value for money places we’ve stayed in, especially considering what a touristy area Durango is.

And, did I say ? It’s CLEAN ! We’ll certainly stay here again if we return to the area.

We stayed here for one night in October but we wish we could have stayed more! Such a cute room with great charm and it was the perfect size...not to mention a wonderful price! The motel is in a great location, as it is close to all kinds of restaurants. Next time we are in Durango, we will be staying here!

We found this by searching and digging through the internet. Glad we did. Had everything the big boys do plus the added quaint atmosphere of a family run business. No breakfast but the rates was good for the room. Would stay here again when we go through Durango.

I read the reviews on 'Trip Advisor' and stayed at the Siesta Motel for the 1st time ever. Room was small and bathroom a little worn but the bed was comfortable, there was internet access and we could have our dog in the room for a small fee. No breakfast included, but there was a small kitchen - refrigerator, 2 burner stove, small microwave and a sink. This motel is family run and in a quiet area - north on Main Street. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the motel for 11 nights whilst visiting family. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful with any enquires I had. The room was cleaned daily. The motel is within easy access of local amenities and food establishments.

Stayed here for 2 nights in early October. The room was bigger than anticipated for the price we paid. Had 2 double beds, 2 comfy chairs in front of the tv, a table and chairs, a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, bathroom with separate sink area. I thought it great value, very friendly check in, provided everything we needed for a short stopover. It was easy to find, near the attractions, well maintained and being a one-off family run establishment it had more character than the other places near it - and was I expect considerably cheaper. Would definitely stay there again if in Durango.
