“Average room, but great value and pet friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

I read the reviews on 'Trip Advisor' and stayed at the Siesta Motel for the 1st time ever. Room was small and bathroom a little worn but the bed was comfortable, there was internet access and we could have our dog in the room for a small fee. No breakfast included, but there was a small kitchen - refrigerator, 2 burner stove, small microwave and a sink. This motel is family run and in a quiet area - north on Main Street. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the motel for 11 nights whilst visiting family. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful with any enquires I had. The room was cleaned daily. The motel is within easy access of local amenities and food establishments.

Stayed here for 2 nights in early October. The room was bigger than anticipated for the price we paid. Had 2 double beds, 2 comfy chairs in front of the tv, a table and chairs, a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, bathroom with separate sink area. I thought it great value, very friendly check in, provided everything we needed for a short stopover. It was easy to find, near the attractions, well maintained and being a one-off family run establishment it had more character than the other places near it - and was I expect considerably cheaper. Would definitely stay there again if in Durango.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Siesta Motel in early October. We were very pleased with the charm and unique character of the establishment. Everything about the room was very comfortable, and had all the amenities one would need for a short stay: mini-fridge, coffee-maker, TV, internet access, ample furniture (desk, night stand, chairs, benches) and a king size bed. I had the pleasure of speaking with both of the proprietors: Larry and Marlene. They are great people who were very accommodating to our odd-hour check-in needs, as well as our over-sized pooch. We were provided with the kind of personalized service and genuine hospitality that seems to be more of the exception than the rule these days. We are big fans of supporting the Mom and Pop establishments too, so this was just a win win! Thanks again Siesta Motel; don't go changin'!

I stayed just one night late September in Durango and very much enjoyed my brief stay. It is a friendly family run motel located towards the north end of town. The room was absolutely fine, comfy, clean and well equiped. After a peaceful nights sleep I drove to the railroad station which is about 5 minutes away.

My husband and I spent two nights here, Oct 1 and 2, 2013. We were in room 21. The room is small, but very clean; the bed was very comfortable. The property is well maintained. Owner, Marlene, checked us in. She answered the questions we had about driving up to Silverton, Colorado (about 50 miles away); and also questions about the free trolley, which is very convenient to the downtown area. The motel is on the trolley stop route. We were very pleased with our stay here.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to return to what is becoming our favorite places to stay. Always feels like we are returning home. Owners always have great suggestions on places to eat and visit. The bed was super comfy, the room was clean as always, the property is well maintained and cared for. Love to support the family owned places. You can tell this family puts their love, sweat and tears into keeping this place up. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. We will return!

Room Tip: When reviewing this property look at all the happy people! This place is a gem!
