“Two Eagles Resort - Big Thompson River just East of Estes Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I stayed at Two Eagles Resort August 30, 31 and Sept 1 2014. My wife, 15 y/o daughter, 19 y/o son and his girlfriend all stayed the "Big Horn Sheep" room that sleeps 6. It's a one beadroom, with a full kitchen and full shower. The living room has a queen size bed and a bunkbed. There is also a loveseat in the living room. The floors were all laid wood flooring and a very clean look. We could not have been more happy with the room.
Linda and Colin run the Resort and were very helpful and loaned us fishing poles and told us where to try fishing. They were very pleasant and really seemed to want us to enjoy our stay, which we did very much.
We will look at traveling to the area again next year and the Two Eagles Resort will be are first choice when staying in the Estes Park general area.

Room Tip: Bich Horn Sheep room was perfect for what we needed with 5 people. It actually sleeps 6.

Glad you had a nice lil' vaca with us. We enjoyed your family...though you were a pretty busy bunch. Thank you for giving us a review, we really appreciate that! Hope you come back next year and we'll try to save you a few trout!

Thank you Linda, Colin, and Cole (and Cleo!) for a fantastic stay. Our family stayed in the Caboose, and we had a great time. There was plenty of space for all of us, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking and serving meals, and the place was clean and well maintained. We were invited to help ourselves to the apples that were ripening on the tree, and they were sweet, and delicious. We were disappointed that we couldn't stay awake til 2 or 3am, when the bears would come down to sample the fruit, but we did see lots of other wildlife. Whenever we needed anything at all, Linda took care of it for us. My grandson loved playing with Cole, and spent hours talking about minecraft with him. We felt right at home the whole time, and will be back next year!

Anna,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such kind words. I had to laugh about the early morning bear thing. Yesterday I looked out my office door at 2:00 pm and said "wow...hey mom the bears are here". We had a mama and two cubs at the apple tree in middle of the day. Wish you could have seen them. We enjoyed having you, and your grandson Joey was a real pleasure. We'll see you all next year.

We brought family members from out of state for a special weekend and am so glad that we picked 2 Eagles. Thank you Linda for your perfect recommendation of The Big Horn Room. Plenty of room for all of us and our elderly guests were very comfortable. Appreciated the whole family making us feel right at home. Never got the chance to visit the campfire, but maybe next time. My aunt is already planning our next trip....

It was nice and peaceful, I could relax and enjoy the views! Everyone was very nice and welcomed us like we were family. Family friendly, but also a good place for couples! Short drive to Estes Park and Loveland. They are also pet friendly if you have pets. Prefect place to stay if in Estes Park.

Linda, Colin, Cole and Cleo...

Thank you all for allowing us to have an enjoyable three days in the Cowboy Room. We wished we would have had a longer vacation which would have allowed us to stay longer at 2 Eagles. Linda, you were right on with all of your recommendations. Cleo was awesome in allowing Sam to be a part of her territory. Larry and I wish you all the luck in restoring what the flood took from you. Keep up the good work...hopefully we will be able to come back someday!!!

Respectfully,
Larry, Jennifer and Sam

My sons and I stayed in the Caboose recently for a few days. The owners, Linda & Colin, were great. If they weren't in the office, you could always find them on the grounds working. They were so accommodating that one night Colin drove into town to get us smores supplies for the fire pit. We also fell in love with their lovable dog, Cleo.
I have read some of the negative reviews- and it's too bad those people felt that way about Two Eagles. No, it's not a 4-star hotel- it's a mom and pop operated resort. Linda & Colin work hard- and they've done a lot of work since the devastating flood last year.
I have to also add that my oldest son stayed there last year (before the flood). His car broke down, and they helped him find a dealership in town- and drove him and his friends into
Estes Park so they could enjoy their trip! It's a great location in the beautiful canyon and is only a 20 min. drive to the Rockies!

Room Tip: The caboose is great for a family of four or five. It's nice and quiet. It does get chilly at ni...

Linda,
Thank you. I'm glad you all made it home safely and yes my dog fell in love with Miles. I thought she was going to jump in with you when you left. I'm glad you all enjoyed your stay. Tell Wes we wish him the best with his play and we hope to see you all again one day.
