Well located to all ski resorts, friendly staff, and comfortable stay. Located next to the Arapahoe Cafe which had a very good selection food above and fun time in the pub below. Always had a pub special every night.

I stayed here for a week as a base for skiing, and I really enjoyed my time here.

The room was good sized, cleaned well each day, warm, comfortable, lots of outlets for recharging stuff. The wifi worked well. One thing I really liked was that although it was a pet-friendly hotel, they have pet-free buildings. The one downside was that, yes, to get to breakfast, I had to walk outside in the cold. The breakfast was better than average continental; they had sausage and scrambled eggs everyday, as well as a waffle maker and a good selection of breads, pastries, yogurt, cereals, etc. The OJ and coffee was exceptionally good for a hotel (most OJ I've had are bad).

The hotel is in the "middle" of Dillon, uphill from Silverthorne. It's right by the lake, and it's probably pretty amazing in the summer. In the winter, it's pretty, but you can't sit there and admire the view in the freezing cold for too long. The Arapahoe Cafe is immediately next to the hotel and it's an amazing restaurant (try the ribs special on Thursdays). There's a supermarket and tons of restaurants within a 5-minute drive, so lots of choices.

As far as skiing, it's 10-15 minutes to Keystone, A Basin, and Copper, and about 30 minutes to Vail. Breck is pretty close too, but I didn't go there. They sell some discount tickets, but the best prices are online, but you have to buy them a week ahead at least.

The staff were nice and helpful to me, I couldn't ask for more. The price was less than $100/night, which is a good value. The place does get crowded (and noisier) on the weekends, like the rest of Summit County.

nice comfortable hotel with frig, microwave and toaster. There is a full breakfast or breakfast at a nice café next door. This hotel is convenient to many ski areas, we usually go to Copper Mt when we stay here.

First of all, this isn't much of a lodge, more a motel made of 4 seperate buildings. So for winter guest, it means walking out in the cold and snow to have breakfast or go to the hot tub (which isn't very hot). But there's laundry which is a useful and why I chosed this place...

The room was freezing cold when I checked in and remain freezing cold an hour later. Remembering a similar complain I read here, I immediately called the front desk. Response was quick, a maintenance guy showed up. He declared "oh, your heater shields were not open!". Well, why was it closed in the first place? He asked if I wanted a space heater just to speed things up. I did and it helped. I would rate that as good solution. The room was also decent sized, comfortable enough even for a multi-day stay.

Breakfast room was cramp and at times there's no place to sit. Food was decet though, with good variety to satisfy most of any dietary need.

There's a computer in the lobby (but you have to walk out in the snow to get to the lobby unless you're lucky to have your room in the same building). It's very slow and the printer, which I tried to use to print boarding pass, was so low in toner that the bar code was barely visible.

I had forgotten something in the previous hotel. So I called the front desk before arrival if they accept packages for their guest. The answer was YES and gave me the "mailing address". Upon check in, I asked what time of day do MAIL usually make it in. "1-4pm"...

By 6, I stopped by the lobby and asked if there's package for me. No.

As I turned to leave, I thought better of it and asked if the day's MAIL had been delivered. That's when the guy told me post office mail never get delivered!

As it turns out, post office in Summit county stopped deliver mail altogether for quite some time now! And they knew about it all along. Guests have the option to either pick it up from the post office in person, or send it via FedEx/UPS! But they didn't bother to inform any of their guest of that fact!!! Not when they ask if the "lodge" accepts mail for their guest, nor when they asked when post office mail gets delivered (which is never!)

Then he went to a long winded rant about the post office not delivering mail AND HE HAD TO DEAL WITH IRRITATED GUEST AS A RESULT! When the solution was he need to inform his guest about that fact which he failed to do!!!

When I pointed it out to him that no one in the front desk ever told me that fact (before the post office closes for the day), he very grudgingly apologize for the behavior of "his employee". So the guy was either the owner or the manager and that's his attitude!!!

He made it clear it's the guest's fault that they didn't asked specifically if the post office delivers mail!

He also made it rather clear he'd rather no one stayed in his establishment unless they expect no service beyond just a room!

In conclusion, it's a mid-range motel (as Best Western typically is). Fairly pricy for what you get (though that might have to do with the location). If you're skiing, this location adds 5-10 minutes to your commute to the mountain compare to motels in Frisco. And there're relatively sparse choice of restaurant in Dillon than in Frisco, the tourist hub. Breakfast food is one of the best even though you might have to grab and go or eat it standing up. Not much else to recommend it beyond that. The management's attitude puts it on my AVOID list.

Room Tip: Buildling 1 is closest to breakfast Building 2 is closest to the hot tub So choose based on you...

Very nice reasonably priced hotel that we used for a recent ski trip to the Dillon, CO area. Strategically located to access several ski areas. Very nice, clean rooms and helpful staff. We would recommend it to others.

This hotel has a slightly old school feel to it, but I like it - stayed here before and would return. Good value, very handy for Keystone, A-basin and Breck, plus nice views of Dillon Lake when you walk across for breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is decent. Staff are outstanding here - very friendly and helpful.

This has been one of many of my great experiences in this hotel over the last two years but I finally got my act together to share my excellent opinion of this place. It is an older property split between many buildings and if you experience a reluctance at first it will be put to rest as soon as you enter one of the interior hallways of the many buildings. They smell fresh, are well maintained and clean. They even provide ski lockers if you are reluctant to leave your skis on the roof!. The rooms are surprisingly large, well appointed, smell fresh and very comfortable. The bathrooms are also very large and modern. The breakfast room is a bit tight and you may want to be there right at 7 am as it opens or a little before as you may not get a seat. The food selection is great and everything is fresh. Altogether this has always been a great experience and I can't wait to try this place in the summer for a change to take advantage of the proximity of the beautiful lake and all the trails nearby. I will return over and over.

Room Tip: All the rooms that we tried over the years are great, but my favorites are rooms in building 3
